Disliked{quote} I was assuming equities wouldn't make their move without the hike decision Now the FED gets to try and catch up (is what I'm assuming again) What happens if they postpone hikes 2016? Kiss S&P goodbye? Sure looks that way after today. QE4 trending on twitterI'm sitting over here like
I bought someone a nice lunch yesterday with my EU shorts, stayed out today....don't have shit for a setup anywhere....looking hard at 1.1444 for the massive norm setup in a few months
Ignored
If equities continue to fall, could be bigger problems for economies as that was a large part of investment income which helped the recovery with profits spending & economy confidence.
My opinion is the Fed's main reason for wanting to raise rates a bit was to help pension funds in the US which I think is going to be the next crisis. So many pensions rely on higher rates so many have huge unfunded liabilities. Very few other "obvious" reasons to raise rates IMHO.
The Fed may postpone again unless equities recover as they know how much a crashing market might be another "hit" to the economy & they don't want to be the "cause" of the next recession.
Just my unprofessional opinions.
