Hey Denya, What time frames are you testing? When I backtest with either QD 300 or 420 my Backtests fall over on both the 2nd and 6/7th of January 2015. Also, what data are you using?

Hey MM, sure will add in... can you please explain number 1 a bit more? Not sure I understand it exactly.

He did and I'm not possessive about this in any way! The goal is that we all have a successful system in place that benefits everyone... does not matter who comes up with the solution. That's also why I've shared the .mq4 file so that other can contribute if they want to, as I am by no means an "expert" coder.

This is all about teamwork and collaboration

Hi Vlad,

I should have used the word boxes again NOT candles.

Basically get the EA to trade every box in sequence after it misses the first say 5 blue boxes.

So the EA in this example would simply start trading at BOX # 6 and then trade in sequence Boxes 7,8,9,10 up to X # of boxes.

The chart attached should explain it well.

ps. with an option to set different # of boxes not traded depending on the trading window start and end times.
This would mean the Asian session could have different # boxes missed before trading commences compared to London session etc

Ah, thanks. It was my low starting balance that was screwing up my Backtest.

Attached is a v1.4.1 test - 10K starting balance, starting date 10/02/2010 until yesterday, QD 420, trade every 2 candles, Lot size Progression 0.1, 0.2, 0.5, 0.6, 0.8, 0.10, no grid (Does Grid actually work?). Seems to peiter out in June 2012 and struggles to increase the balance much higher after this (with standard lot sizes and no MM)

The same time period using QD of 300 did not go so well... [Edit: Setting QD 300 is fine! The results are similar - see post 313 below)

Hi Vlad.I watch for your development and observe the work of the adviser.
I think it is necessary to add to the adviser the following settings:
1. The ban on the opening of new orders higher than the previous. True / False.
2. Opening of new orders at a distance of no less than such is. In pips.

This EA seems indeed very well, but if you use the TMA Line filter, it makes only sell trades.
