Hi traders,
Good results for this week, $2,765 profit, not bad, maximum drawdown $10,252 (not good), open positions loss of $504.

I did mention on Post 56 that I seen many times a long pos at the top, closing at the bottom for profit and some emails I get against it. Well, how negative pips make positive profits? see image.

How I did get it.
using martingale way, doubling the previous order quantity against the move, buying when goes down, selling when goes up, symmetry approach (having long and short positions at the same time)
Then, if market does not retrace, I do activate ExpandGrid to manage it for me. That is how I use it, trade accumulating and if does not go with me then I use ExpandGrid.

I see results of yours trials and I try to expose my opinion to allow real use of this EA :

- maximum (real !) capital would not exceed 10.000 USD , with 0.01 lot
- maximum historical drawdown must be less than 5.000 usd (50% of capital)
- backtest must be on 10 years of data (not less)

To reduce broker sensitivity all positions would be :

- all orders at bar open time only
- trailing, stop and profit , not stealth

Thanks sohaiqasmi for your input. I will test your idea, I need you to confirm this is what you want. Open stop orders above and below price at the same lot quantity, same distance and move the grid together with price, not expanding it. target first grid.

Hi team,
This is the plan for this week. I will continue trading 19 pairs trying to correlate them, I will accumulate, both sides, by doubling the lot quantity using limit orders (buy below price, sell above price) and I will activate ExpandGrid by discretion, when risk or conditions demand it, except EURUSD. This is what I call symmetry approach.
What I am going to try this week with EURUSD is activate, run, ExpandGrid in one chart and then accumulate in other chart as I mentioned above, using the same magic number. Here ExpandGrid and symmetryGrid will play one against the other. Let’s see how this work by the end of the week.

CONTINUE: when the grid closes it will start a new grid if this parameter is true.
Pause Trading: stops opening new positions inside the grid, is good to trade it manually, neutralize, etc and then when conditions are good again, set it back to false.

hi bauta, i am using v12. on the 5min TF, applying the EA to the tested pairs as per your display, so far it has been active in these 2 pairs G/U and E/U..

I put TP to be 1 dollar and open lots to be at 0.1 (for E/U and G/U only, the rest i put it at 0.01) to test out on my demo as these 2 particular pairs are more volatile. multiple trades have been opened and closed for a dollar profit for the 2 pairs while drawdown has lingered between $60-80. will see how they work out. just thought of reporting my results. thanks.

Hi traders,
I am taking out GBPJPY, AUDCAD and CHFJPY. if the account continues growing, I may setup them again in the future.
Now I am multi playing EURUSD, GBPUSD, USDJPY and USDCHF. (multi magic number instances)
Let's see how it goes, now trading 16 pairs.

hello traders!
My suggest:
Put a moving average Filter
Only buy when the price go up the MA
Maybe with filter the grid jump 1 or 2 grid, but when MA is ok with price, the price averege will is better.

I've been looking for system like this, very challenging system!
I tried the EA, but so far it doesn't open any single order... it's only 'Changing Grid Increments' all the time.

Let me know if i missed something, maybe the setting or else..

Hi Bro,

I have an idea,please see pic 1 2 3...

firstly two position,buy stop and sell stop (0.01)...multiple 3 and grid size 100 (or all set from EA input).
when price is up,open buy stop,then delete 0.01 sell stop and get new 0.03 ( previous 0.01 multiple 3 ) sell stop at same point.
let's go on.price is down,touch 0.03 sell stop,then get new 0.09 buy stop (previous 0.03 mulitiple 3 ) at buy 0.01's point.(same point)

etc...

top tunnel is all buy positions TP,all sell positions SL,bottom tunnel is all sell positions TP,all buy positions SL.
no other TP and SL.

When touch tunnel (TP/SL),then close all,and getting new start.


have any problem for this strategy?

In the past I did try something similar but with multiple of 2 instead of 3, I will try your idea with multiple of 3.

Update:
I had been demoing this idea for more than a month now, it is time to tray something big. I will start increasing the Start_Lot_Qty extern parameter and reducing the quantity of pair I am trading. I will start with EURUSD and GBPUSD raising lot quantity to 0.05, by next week I will rise it to 0.1 (10,000)
Let's see how this play. Risk is too high, so I will try it on "SymExpand 0815 50k Symmetry and Expand grids" first.
By the end of the week I will post results,

Thanks for your early reply..

if multiple is 2,it's will loss due spread and comission...

it's channel martingale and always profit because price will breakout touch channel soon or later.
but the key is MM (money manager).
for 10 pips grid (5 digitl broker is 100 pips grid),1000 equity open 0.01 first position is safe..

Hope you can build this EA and I will forward test it..

Hi traders,
All explorers worked as expected closing the week green.
Note that "SymExpand 0815" performed better due to changes I did mentioned on Post 77 .

Hello Bauta,


Thank you for your effort regarding the EA.

Could you be able to add the option where we can limit the number (levels) how far the EA will go with trading.

I want to limit the trading how deep it can go: Example: If i want to trade 3 levels deep
1) Trade with 0.01, 0.04, 0.16 and when it needs to open the 4th level then close all open trades and start again from the beginning with 0.01.
If i want to trade 4 levels deep then
2) Trade with 0.01, 0.04, 0.16, 0.64 and when it needs to open the 5th level then close all trades and start again and so on with the next levels.

Please let me know if you can add this feature.
