Hi all

I've been trying to figure out a way to add the Quantum to the lower window along with other means to exploit it (if indeed it is at all possible that is) .

The reason is that my core method that I use in my day to day trading ref the chart attached (which doesn't use Quantum at present)), does everything I need it to do, and usually captures approx 60% of the total move on average (ie the middle chunk), which is pretty good don't get me wrong. I was thinking however that that could be increased to say 80%, ie a bigger chunk of the entire move, with even more opportunity to add on orders and take pp which would be more practical to do if I could somehow incorporate it into the lower window.

If it is not possible, then it's not a major problem, my existing method is still good but wondered whether there were any talented programmers out there who were able to do it.

The attached chart extract hopefully illustrates clearly what I'm trying to achieve with the Quantum, and the large coloured rectangles tells the story easy enough I think, so the simple question is, can the Quantum be programmed to use/overlay in the lower window?

Yeah I'm hoping most could see some obvious benefits if it were possible to add Quantum or a duplicate in one form or another to the lower window, which would then allow traders to make more informed decisions in collaboration with the OB/OS levels for example.

We will see whether anyone can come up with a solution to incorporate it I guess. If not, well then we continue with our strategies as is, which is still fine.

To clarify, you mean :

Plot the normal Quantum signals (calculated from the chart price data) in the oscillator indicator window...

or

Plot the Quantum signals on the oscillator calculated on the oscillator data ?

It would be very helpful if you would please share the oscillator itself, or at least say which one it is ?

There is a workaround, which is to plot the OB/OS levels on price, ie. the price line would be coloured green when OS (when buys are setting up) & red when OB (for sells).

In general, it is considered bad form to keep showing indicators on a thread without disclosing them...

Not sure I follow, but are you thinking something like this?

Let me make it crystal clear to you, because you clearly misunderstand.

The oscillator is completely irrelevant to my original question, and the chart was posted ONLY to illustrate what I'm trying to achieve pictorially.

My advice to you is to stick to what the topic of my question was and not concern yourself with anything else.

If the Quantum can be overlayed satisfactorily at some point, then I' will be more than happy to discuss Quantum related topics if requested, with mers blessing of course, including any oscillator I use or anything else for that matter. But for now, I'm only interested in my original question before I discuss more.

There is one of my suggestion to filter the trades so that traders can avoid large number of trades but still they have to follow the rules of lot sizes as mentioned in first post.



Sell Signal: Open trade if price go below the close of signal candle
Buy Signal: Open trade if price go above the close of signal candle
Love for all; Hatred for none.

'Mornin', giz... I like it too, but trust me, Vlad is the programmer here .
