Hello everyone. I would like to share my view.

A bar makes a NEW DAILY high and closes. Next bar fails to make a higher high and reverses. Sell when price drops below the open price of the current bar.

The crimson colored line marks the open of bar[3]. Bar[4] made a new daily high. Bar[3] failed to make a new daily high. Entry triggered at open price of bar[3].

watch the close.. 0786 is still alive.. 0974 ish is one bulls dont want closed below (week).. bears would like 0964 closed or more today. 0786 is actually a bullish norm.. usually when bulls want 0786, and bears want 0786.. it most times gets a poke.. once 0786 is reached, bulls want 15xx and bears 1122/44 (1122/1435 w/oHH) but if its truly bearish now.. a trip to 1122/44 would be enough, after 0786 s touched. 4h closed 1102... its still above 0964, but its all one could expect after dropping 110 pips.. its still 4h a close below 1048.7..

Thanks Ken. I agree with you about 'secret formulas', but I'm not looking for that. I'm looking for actual information as to how MM's operate, which will help me in deciding when to take trades/skip them/etc. IMO if MM's are taking some trades then there is likely a general method to how they lay them off. I understand the broad brush of B booking, but think there is some more info in there. I'm one of those people that likes to get as much real information as possible to help me make my decisions---but as one cannot know everything in FX markets, I'm trying to limit it to concepts that really move markets.

Edit: I'm sure not paying anyone online for info, that's for sure. I've seen several posters point out the obvious that anyone making money in leveraged FX certainly doesn't need to take on followers. I mean, come on, who hasn't let their imagination run wild and compounded % gains to see what if, and what they'd buy when it happens.

I reversed short from 110, at 000, SL at 90, risking 10. Closing platform, have a nice weekend.

I dont know about the term "mm" . It means different things to different people but when you talk about, fixing or squareing the books, this refers to large banks trading desks . A large bank , the ones that take in 100 , 250 , 500 mil dollar orders , they make there money on the spread . At the end of the day , they want their books neither long or short . They want them square when they turn it over to the night shifts . If a night shift gets in trouble , there is a senior trader on call that can either help straighten them out over the phone or he has to come back to work .

This next part is my opinion .

When you see retracements , pullbacks etc , this is large banks trying to keep their books straight . Major moves are made by the other big players (hegdge funds etc ) for FA reasons . ( To make money ) or a big banks books really got screwed up .

I'll try to find the thread that explains this better . Do a google search on the internal workings of the currency markets but be prepared to to sift thru a boatload of bullshit .

FTI has a thread on the subject "Technical Analysis Fallacy". I believe his former job was as a senior trader for a large bank....I recall him saying the same as your first paragraph

He has some pretty cool insights and trading mentality. Thinks of trading as a war, and he's the general....his trades are his troops. It's entertaining to say the least
