I'm trying to get out of this GBP/USD short that's been underwater for awhile, and now I'm finally getting close to B/E. But I'm wondering if I SHOULD close once it reaches that point if it stalls, assuming it's moving at about the same pace as EUR/USD. I mean I realize that most of the time those two pairs move more or less together, but just wondering if that's also what we can expect for the next several hours. In other words, I might just wait to see if it wants to keep moving south, as long as EUR seems to be wanting to do the same. Good idea or no?

absolutely no ! ... GBP and EURO are not that correlated lately ... even though us$ might put pressure on cable upside but the uk hiking is on boards so it will be a fight against the two sides of GBP/USD pair ... for better analysis ...refer to Sisse's posts concerning the matter at "the really useless thread" !

its your money, but you have been fortunate to BE with a bad trade, I would minimise loss close and reassess.
This case even BE is a loss
How many times have you seen a level that you thought was worth defending, and market moved against you from that very level, then return and the same level plays out again

yeah strong resistance ahead for swissy. A stronger one at 0.9725 (61.8% retrace of last big down swing), but now it is at monthly R2, it likely will drop to next month PP at 9570 before any bouncing again

200 hr MA is not easy to break in one go.

On daily there is bullish set up.

GDP numbers could turn it other way.
i personally do not want to trade on short side.

quite possible, but this has a trend of being wrong.. i posted about the gdp 30 year fu..its mostly gets revised up, what happens is they may give a 3% expected forecast the year before. than first q has that 30 year anomaly. its a fu in the counting that brings down gdp. so the bean counters drop the 3% forecast some, because of bs q1 #s.. the following quarters may make up along with the revisions closer to the original forecast. its has a 30 year trend of this.. when the bs q1 numbers were released is when we broke a strong dt..it probably was broke because of inaccurate numbers (1051)

just tested weekly open and bounced off. Let's see where it goes here. My guess is a continuation down.

btw 1052 is where 0786 and 158x comes from. if q1 turns out to be wrong (green).. than we never should have gotten above 1051
