{quote} prachait low is yet to be formed on this pair and will be formed once RBNZ cuts. dairy prices are falling, fonterra payouts are falling, plus a stronger dollar, inflation is subdued. 0.63 will be the bottom in my opinion

I'm fairly confident we will see .5xxx on this pair this year, probably by September.

It looks like Westpac agrees with your direction...I think if I was a gambling man .5xxx is a good bet too, due to the tendency to overshoot targets:

Early thoughts from Westpac in NZ (Senior Market Strategist Imre Speizer) - outlook:

For today:

  1. AUD/USD: The downside vulnerable, targeting 0.7350 today
  2. NZD/USD: The downside remains vulnerable, 0.6499 at risk
  3. AUD/NZD: Stalled at 1.1400 which poses a near term obstacle to further upside

The next 1-3 months:

  1. NZD/USD: Having reached 0.6560, we look to our next major downside target at 0.6200 which was a low in July 2009. The two main factors expected to contribute to NZD/USD weakness during the next few months are RBNZ easing (the OCR falling to 2.0% by year end) and Fed tightening (FF mid-point to rise by 25bp in September)
  2. AUD/NZD: The RBA will probably remain on hold (albeit with easing risk), while the RBNZ is currently in easing mode. Expected RBA vs RBNZ direction thus favours AUD/NZD over the medium term. The next major target is 1.1580

On the h4 chart, the price is within the crab harmonic pattern range. We are expecting to have a surge if the demand fuels up across the market.

For NZD Credit Card Spending (YoY),
the difference between last month (May) and this month (Jun) data is similar to that of the last year (difference : 0.1 more than last year).
So, NZD/USD will be down.
