Thanks for the speedy response!

I am still getting some strange behavior. Not all of the values are populating. Plus I am getting some real strange values. I am only using standard settings, market watch set to show all.

I have never been able to get the ATR functions to work with that damn thing! I have use trail true, standard trail false, then further down the ATR SL and TP settings set, but they do not seem to work. Any ideas/suggestions?

ok I will keep the older version for the time beeing until its bug free.
@ panamamike to use atr the SL pips need to be 0

An other idea just pop in my mind it would support VSA traders. Would it be to difficult to include volume in the calculations? I mean a total 2nd version of a dash. The theory is if price move a distance up with lower volume and then it did drop the same distance with higher volume then its a bearish signal. So my idea is to make a dash (same madash what we have, just include volume) with a known climax formula. it would be the pip differences of our MA multiplied with the total volume over this period. similar to a weiss wave. Maybe it could be this way we can detect what MMs are doing? Did you get the idea? The whole dash would show the volume climax situations of all pairs and TFs

Hello Innate,
The screenshot looks like MADdash is still waiting for all the necessary data to download from your broker. Are you still having the same issues?

Hello Bernhard, it is a possibility.
Long term, I plan to use MADdash as a framework for different ideas/applications.
But for now, I'd like to get MADdash to a point where I'm happy with it.

Try increasing the number of bars showing on your charts.

Go to Tools > Options > Charts Tab, max bars in history 50,000 Max Bars in chart 20,000
then restart metatrader.
It never gets easier, you just get better

thats wrong. you dont need more bars in contrary it make mt4 laggy. I use max 5000 !

then go market overview show all pairs, then disable all. rest stay all fx pairs. then drop the script i posted to update all history

Regarding loading history and strange/excessively large numbers on MADdash:

In order to calculate things like moving averages and ATR, MetaTrader needs price data.

This price data (or "history") comes from your broker.

We can control when MetaTrader requests data e.g. by navigating a chart or loading an indicator that makes requests for us.

We can't control how quickly we get that data back from your broker.

If MetaTrader doesn't have all the necessary information, the results of calculations will not be what we expect. Junk in = Junk Out

Bear in mind that you may never have used some of the pairs that MADdash uses, so your terminal is going to have to get all that information from your broker.

Take a look at this 1 minute video showing the loading of MADdash onto a terminal with no downloaded history other than the chart that is open.

Watch the connection status in the bottom right corner. It starts off at around 250kb (run the video in 720p HD if you can't see it)

MADdash is then added to the chart. You'll notice 3 things:
1. The MADdash values are either missing or excessively large; and
2. Alerts are firing off; and
3. The numbers in the bottom right corner are going up very fast. This is MetaTrader downloading the necessary data from your broker.

After about 40 seconds, the MADdash values look "normal" and the number in the bottom right corner has stabilized around 8100 kb (it will slowly increase over time).

so for today I was testing m1 version setups against m5 version setups. what are the results? as I have expected m5 did perform much better! much more losses with m1 and smaller targets kill the system, even it is in agreement with higher TFs. Maybe some good scalpers like gilead can do better but then its not a set and forget system anymore. For me its a no go. i like the quieter trading stile.

Dear honestknave , thank u very much for this excellent MA Dashboard , i just try your MA Dashboard this week , my setting is Pair Selection , let the number digit to tell me which pair group is Strong or Weak , now i have my idiot idea.... can honestknave put more 8 LFX pair form SIGTrander MT4 ....thanks .

These aren't pairs but indexes.

I know a little about code but I think that is impossible. Isn't the index similar the maddash daily?
