Is there an indicator that shows the distance between two, or more, MAs on your chart?

Cheers

Hey,

No can do on picture at the moment. At work right now and can't post pic until I'm home.
I'll try and explain as best I can but let me know if you still need a pic.

Let's say I've got a 5ema and 20ema on a chart.
All I need to know is how far they are apart at that moment.
I.e.
5ema currently sits at 1.8000
20ema currently sits at 1.8020

The indictaor would show that the difference between them is 20 pips.

Not sure if it's possible?
I can do it manually but I suppose I just want to be lazy if given the opportunity.

Cheers

I can probably code something like that for you... Lots of people would find it useful.

I think I'll call it MACD for "Moving Average Convergence/Divergence".

Look at this one

This is an indicator for people that love's moving average http://www.forex-tsd.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
It takes standard moving average parameters and one called MaDifrential.
MaDifrential is the number of pips that should be between both of MA.
If the difrence is less than this param the indicator will count the difrence between the ma's and plot one combined (squized) moving average.
It is visual tool

(I got this from another site)

This is s similar ea but on backtesting this just kept placing orders constantly once conditions were met and the time code did not seem to be working properly, meaning that it placed orders at any time frame. If someone could code this to maybe place or limit the number of open orders and make the time element work and the orders don't seem to be placed right when the signal is given (ie delay and lost pips), if these could be fixed then it could be more useful. Hope this was helpful

I have a similar question, but not about MA.

Is there an indicator who measures the distance of bollinger bands, between the upper and the lower band? He should print a dot or something if the distance is lower than let's say 40 pips. Would be cool...

Thanks

Freewheelin
