Interesting to see how this pans out. My cynical view is that the impulse was just a bunch of stop running and the correction was where the money was made and now losers are just holding the bag for a while, no clear direction. I deleverage for weekend a bit early just incase your idea has merit for today.

There's big moves setting up elsewhere though and as result of those moves, eur/usd could move that way. Or the other way. I really don't know.

1.1032 enough for second bottom Bfly, levels to track for today: 1.1089 and 1.1124, these will pretty much determine short term direction. Price has already tested new MPP, so from bear viewpoint no reason to return to the upside.

Looks like spike to ~1.11 because losers are willing to buy high.

update: unexpected down volume suggests losers bought expecting price to shoot up to 1.11. - just kidding, it was exactly on the hour so maybe open related.

While every move is very predictable, profiting from that is completely another matter as 'every move you make, every dollar they take'.

Maybe some kind of spread added by retail broker? Getting "perfect price" from some predictable spike can be hard due to the spread added. Some ecn brokers try to get you executed regardless even if your price was bit off or there was someone in front. It's best to have multiple brokers of different types if you are trying to do advanced things as some things just work better with other type of broker. eg. I might prefer entry one broker and exit other and completely depends on situation which is best.

I don't think you find much people giving out execution details, those things cost plenty to figure out through live testing... eg. some people may prefer to trade through Goldman instead of some retail broker just because of a) execution algos they offer b) market makers may look your order a bit differently depending on where it comes from
