Nice points George. When I say the alert is basic/rudimentary, I merely speak to its implementation from a coding perspective. The logic can (and arguably should) be nice and simple. It could do with some of the "behind-the-scenes" enhancements I made to csDash, once I get around to it.

For anyone that wishes to go the GV route, there are a couple of variations for retrieving the values.
Simple form (value will be 0 if it can't find the GV):
Inserted Code

Alternative form:

if(!GlobalVariableGet("MADdash_EUR_M15",EURM15))
  {
   Print("Unable to retrieve EURM15 value");
  }

You may also want to use GlobalVariableTime() to check how up-to-date the GV is.

Is this trend going to continue? Nobody knows as this market is never predictable but we can have an idea - check the HTF - on every pullback, there is a strong possibility of the trend continuing. Learn to turn lagging indicator into a leading one - think outside the box.

Hello, i like the layout and theory of the indicator, amazing work!
I downloaded your indy but it cant upload to a chart, due to settings or file type. As you can see in the image, there is a grey dot in the bottom corner ususally this means the designer wants credit for his product, so where do me pay for it? Thanks

The grey dot is to tell you it is an ex4 file, the gold dot is the mq4 file which can be opened in compiler.

There are 2 versions going around, one is an expert file and the other is an indicator both called MADash unfortunately.

Make sure you have the right file. The expert is in post #1 and the indicator is in post #85

Thanks for the feedback

For starters, right-click the MADdash icon and select delete

Do the same for MADdash(1)

Now download the latest version of MADdash from here and put it in your MQL4>Indicators folder.

Finally, right-click Indicators and select Refresh:

Now try applying it to a chart. Please post back any error messages you see. If nothing happens, please post what you see in the Expert log:

Thank you Verve, that is most generous of you but unnecessary; there is no charge for MADdash.
The grey dot is telling you that you do not have the source code (.mq4 file)

Hi, me again, ive tried several things still no luck, indicator seems to be deleted as fast as it is loaded, see image.
I renamed the indicator, dont think that will cause any problems. I installed the indicator into mql4/indicators, and the EA into mql4/experts and also installed it into mql4/libraries, i closed and restarted the application. Also i set autotrading ON... And same thing happens, it adds the indicator, sends a buy/sell signal and remains with a black screen then as seen on the experts tab, it gets removed. Any ideas or solutions, what am i doing wrong? thank you

fwiw... re: 25 sma/close
It's the 'zero line' (mid line) for most oscillators w/ standard settings... CCI(21), RSI(14) etc. (stays fairly accurate for all tf's)
Created a template w/ the 2 oscillators to show this..
here's a 1M and 5M and a 1H capture to demonstrate...

Is this a demo account ? maybe you don't have all the pairs required ?
