Thats true but on high TF SMA are very accurate as S/R level. Even better when SMA lining up with fibs and normal S/R level. I use a mixture of fibs sma and pivot level as tools to predict turning point usually yield exceptional result or even when im wrong it produce enough bounce for safe sl

I haven't actually used this kind of short term analysis before but I noticed a pattern in that chart that if keeps working, would suggest the following:

If price breaks decisively to new highs, then 1.128 is support. However as I said earlier, if everyone now gets bullish in a hurry then it won't be a support because hedge funds aren't interested in supporting profits of the majority. However since hedge funds/HFT are largely focused on "hot" things like eur/usd with lots of trading, that tends to mean that the "hot" pair is more compressed and strong trends can occur elsewhere. Last week it appeared that eur/usd wanted to go higher but the trending occured elsewhere. So we could see a bull trap developing here which springs when those other pairs get exhausted (the pros went long long ago so they aren't worried about some down move to buy dips). The trap could be if shorts stop out and late bulls buy late at 1.15+ and then there would be elevator down 10% from the top they make (I could see a short term top near 1.2 for this year if nothing really changes - long term range would be 1.04-1.2 with upside bias to fair value - but I wouldn't try to predict when we would get there - we'll get there quicker if bears stay short though).

This is all with the caveat that nothing changes fundamentally - ie the greek drama keeps draghing on.

Out of 12 weeks it has been trending the 7 and ranging the 5. A range has not yet been followed by another range, so I expect it to trend. I am not keeping trades more than a day anyway so it doesn't matter what it would do, but my bias for the week is set after one of the fibs up or down is hit & taken (not using long term targets like 1.16 or 1.10, 20-30 pips are enough each time).

The fundamentals say :

If we get a GREXIT:

(-): decrease
(+): increase

 

  1. (--) EUR: shock for the market and a lot of investors
  2. (--) EUR: exchange between EUR and new currency --> reason: investors from EUR will invest in new currency (NCO>actual)
  3. (-) EUR: QE of the ECB will increase the inflation in the coming next years (slowly)


I donīt analyze the USD but we know that the upcoming decision of the FED is (++) for USD.

The trend is still up... Important levels to Scalp for 10 - 15 Pips is 1.380 / 1.420 / ...
Asian Session will be a good Range to trade with... Just my one cents for Technical Sentiments...

Hi.

Thanks, Life must be so full of colors,.. It makes it interesting.... But by colors is based on Moving Average, EMA and Resistance and Pivots,.. I scalp on every Pivot on the 1/5 min Time Frame.. I use my 1/4 Hr charts to establish the trend for the Day. I also trade with 3 Screens where one have a Currency Strength meter from 15m - 1 Day Strengths... I like to trade on News as Well and trade when the market Retrace...

I this make Logic , and I only Trade part time.. I hope in the next 6-12 Months to go Full time..

Looking at the daily chart, as long as no close below the 1.1040 level, EURUSD could reach for the 1.1600.
Weekly HeikenAshi chart shows a nice trend with the white candle and no lower wick.
