Oil has been erratic since I put up my sell idea. I watch it like a hawk. I am still bearish in this commodity especially if the $ strengthens. As long as your are within your MM rules it is just another trade. Also as long as we do not breakout to the upside the sell idea is still intact.

Looking to sell AUD/USD on a bounce to 0.75 or thereabout. Terms of trade continue to deteriorate and we might see additional rate cuts, which is likely to keep the Aussie under pressure.

Guys I have not retired. I had a loss in the family and it sort of diverted my attention. Will soon be back full force

Guys I am back and today is as good a day to start posting. Hope you all got something from the recent(?) ongoing turmoil in the markets. Just to recap the prevailing winds in the markets right now

 

  1. Will Interest rates go up in the US this September?
  2. China's devaluation - a prelude to a currency war
  3. China's slowing economy - even the mighty can be affected
  4. Recent resignation in Greece - This might even be good for the euro
  5. Fear of Global slowdown - bad for everything
  6. Falling crude prices

Because of the above we now have

  1. Stock markets in correction mode all over the world (down 10% from their recent highs)
  2. Gold, once abandoned now becoming a haven again
  3. Commodities down from fears of lack of demand
  4. Bonds being bought as flight to safety mechanism

Dollar Index took it on the chin last week. Depending on Chinese Data Sunday Night (EST) it might continue

Excellent analysis as always.

Agree dollar is looking lower next couple (?) of weeks. Euro mainly getting a temporary boost.

But I think before long it will regain upside momentum with world economies slowing further pressuring down commodities prices and dollar moving inversely.

Note: USDZAR (Gold related) still going strong.

You have a point here SunTrader. I will be watching it. I think the events last week would have got some Finance ministers over the world callling each other. There might be some efforts to stabilise the markets

Price ripped through the support line as if it wasnt there. Price tore all the way down to almost 116.00 before retracing. Perhaps we have had the selling climax today in the stock markets

As thought price went straight for the black line on the chart. If this area becomes solid support then we could be looking at the best entry for a journey to 105. All eyes on the Sept Fed meeting
