Greetings,

How would you interpret the widening and narrowing of the TDI VB, and how would you use it to your advantage?

Also, ask yourself this, are HA/APB showing you the real price OHLC? Why would that be important? (hint: PA)

The VB bands are not a part of my trading plan, but i do observe them . . .compassfx has some good videos on the TDI. Find attached a video specifically regarding the VB's and how to interpret them.

Hi TSS,

Note that the Capital Protection is not a trailing stop feature.

You can have both the Capital Protection activated (set to True) and
at the same time set any of the CM trailing stop features.
Both these features will work together.

The Trail_by_Prev_Candle HL feature works best when we trade momentum the breakouts and most often, the trades will be exited when the market goes into consolidation (small candles) after a big move. Remember it will trail behind the previous candle High or Low.

In Post#1, he explained how he traded the H4 chart timeframe and he also traded the H1 chart during the NY session. This suited his lifestyle being retired and the time zone he lived. Sadly he passed away in Oct 2012.

Two very important posts: Post#261 and Post#647, give a simple summary of what this 5-Method. There are the basic forex stuff we must know and check (to be prepared) before we look for the TDI setups to trade.

The only two indicators which we use and the most recent versions are:-
the Synergy_Pro_APB which has the Price Action Channel build-in
the Synergy_Pro_TDI, an updated version which work in realtime market

Recommendations:
Read all of Big E posts... 861posts in the Craig Harris Stochastics thread and 463 posts in this TMS thread....and make notes on those training charts he posted. Pay attention whenever he mentioned PA and what you see on his training charts.

Learn the basic stuff about forex trading first. A good place to start is www.babypips.com/school

About the Traders Dynamic Index aka TDI:
The TDI is the heart of this 5-Method.
It is an indicator using multiple moving average applied to the RSI data. The RSI is derived from the market real price hence the TDI is always lagging the real Price Action.

Warning: Do Not believe in anyone or website telling/selling you that there is a leading TDI developed.
There is nothing wrong in using a lagging indicator so long as you know how to read the price action and apply just a few simple PA rules when trading this 5-Method. We use the TDI to look at the recent price momentum which will confirm or in synergy with the PA on our price chart.

Read this thread on regular basis and keep up to date with the developments.

here below is AUDUSD D chart.
I made several posts with charts examples on how the TDI Volatility Band can be used to spot the sideways market type early and help us avoid trading in the chart timeframe when the market is sideways within a range set by the 'big candle'.

You see the market made a big move down and the TDI Green went outside the Volatility Band VB.
In the above chart, that 'big candle' has a name. You know what the name is.
After that 'big candle ' appear, and the TDI Green re-enters the VB. See what happens to the market after that 'big candle'.

the market traded within the high - low of that 'big candle'.

Do you see the potential in the coming days and weeks ahead of us.

from what I see on the AUDUSD chart is that there could be an uptrend in the upcoming days??? as the green line has re entered the volatility band after the big candle made it go outside the band. Am I on the right track??

Hi Emanuel,

Doesn't a MC need to completely engulf the only the next 4 candles to qualify to be a MC?! So if it engulfs more then 4 candles, and there are wicks outside the main candle, is it still a MC/WRB or Mother Candle? You can tell, I'm confused.

Market is in a range on the D, TDI is oversold. I see divergence as well?

Don't trade the D until it breaks out; step down to the next TM H4 or H1 and trade the range from there until there is a breakout on the D?

Those details helps a lot , now I think I have an idea how this works, I like the feature on trailing by candle high low , set it to 5 pips and only to be activated after 40-50 pips still have to test that

yes this could be it, still structure based trading can work, ie if you enter a trade targeting next structure, u can still use that with regular take profit

Good morning!
I do know the rules of TMS and it's all good. I'm at a point where I want to improve my money management.
So, a post from Emmanuel http://www.forexfactory.com/showthre...49#post7890449 made me search on Fezmar's money management style (not trading system) and he and Graeme have some very good returns.

Can this work when finding major support/resistance areas, switching to smaller time frames for tighter stop loss and trading in the direction of the higher trend to what PHX calls PCRF and wait until it bounces back from round numbers AND just let it run on bigger timeframes, given it survives and SL doesn't get hit?

Is here anyone trading TMS and having a similar MM to Fezmar or Graeme?
