What is this tendency now, that the move happens on European day and after NY open nothing happens? Yesterday it was like that. Well, today it was natural, because of report. But not so much volatility anyways. We have seen much bigger swings on report days.

here's some interesting stats: i've backtested mar, apr, may 2015 and sorted the trades between indy trades(2 sloping dots) and S/R trades(pulling back to S/R for a connection). For the indy trades i've got 30 wins, 19 losses, 27 b/e's for a total of 675 ticks. For the S/R trades i've got 29 wins, 9 losses, 24 b/e's for a total of 823 ticks. This is based on placing sl to b/e +1 after 20 ticks in profit and running a trailing sl of 18 ticks after 30 ticks in profit. Didn't double the number of contarcts for the second trade of the day

noticing the signals that give a 2b entry bot NOT a pb entry are v.reliable, e.g.

wrong spot there was a 2b to get back in trend which did connect

a 2b is where we make a LL LH then price takes out last low by a little then when price takes out the 2 pt of the 2b we wait for 2 closes and put limit in at pt it works the same as a 123. in short a 2b is a 123 that got broken because pt 3 took out pt 1 if you look at a head and shoulder pattern the 2b is the left shoulder the 123 is the right

this adds up to 500 ticks a month, think about those double contract trades that probably adds about 150 or more to numbers

yes, even at 1 contract & not doubling up for 2nd trade that's $5k/month ... yes you get days like today but if you look long term and trust your backtest you know you will make money

in fact this isn't a trade because we don't get a hh before the signal comes in
