i use different size trades with = risk % wise. a successful trade close to the risk is a larger size trade with the same risk as the further one. just an example for easy math.. lets say i short 1205 with a 1%* risk and 1220 as a s/l,, on a failed trade i lose that 1%. (*x2). on a good trade i make 1% each 15 pips of drop. if i have one with = 1% risk at 1190. with the same 1220 stop, i lose the same 1% and gain 1% each 30 pip drop.. if both of these trades were good trades running. i would make 3% each 30 pip drop.. just an example..

Aloha

I am still to buy, because the Greeks will repay their debt and the euro will be strengthened. Behind stand the Russians, and also Europe dares not afford to exit one country because that would trigger a chain reaction. Of course this is just my opinion.

my favorite is, a trade that has a void, with a strong move against it. uj had one of those last night i didnt take. near 125.072, but w/o 125.08

Im with you but i wont open a trade when i dont understand what to eur if greeks news are falseBut this friday will be intense uf athen pays the first payment of debt

The qeustion is not whether to buy or sell, people make money both ways. The smarter question is when to buy or sell and what is your tp. Example today people buying euro made good money, those also sold when first hit 1.1190 also made good money. What differentiated today's winner and losers is the entry and exit.

If you are long term trader then ignore my answer.

Heres a tip.. Never risk more than 2% of your account.. if you have 100,000$, you must only risk 2000$

If you have a 100$ account, risk only 2$..

If you put too much lot size compared to your account you are more likely to take profit manually too early when you see your account growing..
Using 2% risk you are more likely to stick to your strategy

Hi

I trade only european time from 9 a.m. til US open. I made 10-12 trades per day with no stop loss and take profit. I take 5-10 pips per trade and thats it. When I am satisfied with profit I quit trading. I have learnd in last 10 years of trading that discipline is one of the most important factor in trading....

Hey FXMori,

Technically speaking, you have a point here, but this is not black or white where you find
a piece of information and run with it...I do have a background in physics but I try not to
use it here in Forex....

Forex Trading has an art aspect and a scientific aspect, but whatever the movement you
see on a daily basis is all Emotion-driven....And, this is why people tend to find an explanation
for all moves....

Now, to support your theorem, I would suggest that you go out and do some research on
Market Direction and Market Sentiment, and find their differences....

From a Long-term perspective EUR is very Bearish, but Today's Market Sentiment is very
Bullish....USD Dollar had some negative data this morning, so it causes the Market to go Down...
It might stay down for a day or 2, but clearly there's no correlation right now where if EUR is UP,
and USD has to go DOWN!!!

Remember that, Economic data creates Volatility all the time.......Long-term and Short-term!!!!

I have a suggestion...start very small and trade like a 200 dollar account and make at least 5 percent a month
if you are successfull...then increase your deposit to 1K and slowly escalate.
