using the daily's high, 1.0950 serves as an important level of resistance in test right now, if daily closes below it , this thing is still going to be biased bearish with targets of 1.08 and 1.0650 in extension.

Data is sometimes factored into the price when MM's have a very good "guess" on the release. You may also want to check why E/U went down despite a slightly negative employment data earlier today.

I think shorts must stay calm and not panic, the volatility will be there but the long term trend is still bearish:
