.. knee jerk sure.. but some are getting better at it, bringing drilling cost down. this week one rig shut down. the rate is slowing. one of the larger reserves is Macondo.. the last 5 years after bp disaster gulf drilling has slowed. even with that u.s. production has increased through many smaller wells to 1973 levels.. .. domestic oil has a 2x or more gdp affect. first its removed from the negative gdp side, its added to the positive side.. its over shadowed by ng production. ng cheaper cost is forcing foreign investment to manufacture where its cheaper. is the growing trend,, it will destroy the last 40 year cycle..
