I have a pivot as well around that mark. I am short averaging 1.1307 (the b/e).

You have to understand that fxtyrant, at least in his own mind, can´t be ever wrong. Just 2 days ago he was waiting to add shorts at 1.1200 while EURUSD was at 1.1185 and was unsure if EURUSD would actually ever see that level again so that he could get his shorts in at all. Then see what happened to EURUSD. Some trades of him must be at least in 150 pips drawdown.

His reply to that usually is "no problem, I don´t use a SL". But then he rants about others that overleverage their accounts, but doesn´t use a SL himself - kinda funny. He also rants about people like me that trade all automated since 2007 and claims that I never must have been trading Forex and that a 0.3 pips trailing stop first off is "impossible" since even the "best brokers" allow a maximum of 5 pips from the current price. After telling him that my brokers do actually allow a 0 pips distance (and many of them do actually) and he simply was proven wrong, it then is "just stupid" for him to trade like that, while I have been making money with scalping like this since 8 years now.

What I did (and he did to), is to simply put him on ignore, and that helps a lot

Pivot points are generally a waste of time. Big boys use fib levels, (that are a little different than what 99% of charts come with), along with a couple other ways/sequences to determine where each decision point will be. Currently, E/U has not finished off the structure for upside continuation, (which they do 90% of the time). I'm short from 1.1377 and am looking for them to finish off the C wave around 1.1318. There's confluence of 3 math levels within a few pips of each other in that area. I doubt I'll be awake to see how the hourly closes at that level to determine if a buy is warranted once they reach that target. Instead, I'll put some pending sell stops on U/CHF in case they decide to sell the dollar before I wake up. However, I'm anticipating a bear flag on USDX up to around 94.45 area, where they'll most likely park until U.S. data release.

EG hit resistance to the pip as well. Without EG closing 72261 EU wont close the HH

The bounce was a good one though off a monthly and weekly support, failed to make a new low as well, so there's power.

Still- without one, we wont get the other- and if we do, I wont trust it until closes prove otherwise

EG was- and has been the better trade lately. I'm late to the party and missed the bottom (despite magix and I talking about it earlier this week), cleared some longs today though. Added enough to pay if EU fucked me and then some

Kinda curious, what kind of automated system were you using to trade forex?

I am still using... Several kinds of pair dependent ones, but also some universal ones that work on all pairs. Rather simple systems, thats the reason they work. They are "dumb" and dont try to catch every pip or get the entry and exit exactly right, but in the long run they win more than they lose, and thats the important thing.

meanwhile. im only at 8-9% drawdown, still manageable.

I would long at .01 with a stop at -0.01

0.0 is a pretty big psychological number, also the bottom of the first fib ever. Pretty sure that one can take a beating
