Dear respected senior traders,
Just one question..does the upcoming unemployment claims data of USD at 7:30 today cause EURUSD to move 60 to 70 pips abruptly or it does not have that much impact and EURUSD stays stable ?

Shorted as well but already booked 40 pips - this is short squeeze no fresh sellers jump in

You could go back on your charts and check the reaction to this news. It is released always at the same time, thur on 8:30 NewYork time. Check this on your chart and you will answer your question.
However, what you might find is that there is merely repeated pattern in price reaction to news. It all depend on sentiment. Market could ignore, overreact, or even react in contrary to the news. That is forex, expect what is not expected, and you shall live.

97-98 and 03 in this. Also 1/4 retrace between the two mids from the current monthly leg

looking for some eu weakness 1401.8, but it has a st indicated to 1426 (larger 1586/1641). 1401ish may be strong enough to stop it. atm its has not broken last weeks 1391, and i cant say one way or the other if it gets this 1401 trade.
my trades will be tight stops. so my risk to reward favorable, since norms are lower.
1401 is part of .04745. not sure about 1401.8 since it hasn't been tested lately other then the near 1391

aud also has to get past 8140 R. it has a higher target also to 8342, but 8116/63 may stop it for a bit. and eventually be forced back to .7734
atm its at 8104

all atm near usd lows. i dont see usd strength showing on any of these atm. i seldom do. a reason to have tight stops when zooming in,

Greece again in recession, but market doesn't care

Today Greece has confirmed fears of economic slowdown by announcing it had slipped back into recession. According to the Greek national statistics agency, they said the Greek economy had contracted by 0.2 percent in the first quarter of this year according to preliminary data. This the second consecutive quarterly fall in growth which contracted 0.4% in Q4 2014, leaving Greece officially in recession. There are still fears the Greece could leave the Eurozone as little progress has been made in the last few weeks regarding it debt crisis as Ministers fail to negotiate a deal.

I am waiting for NZ data - my AN shorts are not out of the woods yet

i thought i was going to get my 0895 entry. up until those red candles the past few hours. just in case, we do break today's high. 0895 and will add 0943/46 as another possible entry.

Miss Pips has an upper mofu right to the pip up here as well.

Could be c&h. Weekly high yet to be broken. Enough going the opposite for me to trade it. I still want 1014 tested, window is closing.
