Current upmove should be ended around 1.1246 - 1.1284. Any correction consolidation should find support in 1.1174 - 1.1139 zone.

Seriously though, I am quant and canīt trade manually, nothing for me. Todays outlook from the view of my trading systems:

I am more a technical trader than fundamental these days but I would have expected a bigger drop. The fundamental did not break my technical outlook at all, so no game changer.

Shorter term

Ranging, yes we may get some 50 - 100 pip moves but it will be hard to read in my opinion.. I have an 82% win rate and try to retain it at least above 80%.
Not seeing too much other than quick risky scalps to be honest. Appears we will be trending a little for the next few hours.

Longer term

H4 is flattening out as in the cloud (ichimoku) and heading towards a tk cross meaning we will start seeing bear again in the coming DAYS to next week down to the 1.095 area... This is not fully formed just yet. Weekly chart we have headed to the kijun and are starting to pull back to the bear trend, stoch supports this showing we are at the peak and starting to pull back.

So my play,, I am aiming to take a 1 lot trade on a jump above the 1.125, watching H1 for a spike to hold for the next week down to the 1.100 handle then to change to a SL trailing by 40.

good job on your high win rates. My weekly charts and daily charts are in full agreeance with your techs. Lets see..

shrugs, a while ago I read an article saying that EUR/USD rallies on bad euro news because of how euro is acting like jpy. It is the borrowed-against currency for investing since it has the lowest interest rate now so bad news means cut back carry trade and buy euro.

as long as USD treasury bond yield is on the rise, no reason for USDJPY to drop.

besides 118.80 is a level I watch carefully for a breakout and so far every breakout was a "fakeout" as we get back above it everytime....

hmm.. okay so this elnino news has me a little spooked.. Talking long term as in a 1 year trade past our winter (AUD) and past US next winter.

Australia and South US with potential to be hit rather strongly, for those older traders among us think 1997 - 98 droughts and the like, coupled with California's current water issues. Talking agriculture, meat and vege.. yeah boring hey. ha ha

I placed a play short on AUD (again talking long term) with a TP at the .70 handle and potentially the 0.69, this coupled with interest rate cuts predicted again...
EU could be in a place to take advantage of this scenario if played correctly..
Even RUB could rebound on this news, being a big mover in the agriculture space. They have been resourcing western farming brains to help bring their practices up and production up.

^^^ And this is why I don't like playing the fundamental analyst game.. ^^^ I read way too much into the news and think big picture, while the rest of the population looks at me with those eyes...
