but everyone has its own method of analysis to the FX market.
In my opinion, it needs to look at the chart also the market response etc for sure.

USDJPY long 119.283 SL 3 pips TP 30. This is the only price to try long on, if it fails (which atm has higher chance than bounce) then we go lower. Will start to look for shorts if 200 is taken hard.

I think the net positions are not as important as open orders at the moment. Open orders indicate future market sentiment.
My broker is also net short, but the ratio of short/long has been declining. The net open orders is long now. That means for each price lower, the seller can easily find a buyer, cheaply.
Retail market is just a sample, but represents (unfortunately not perfectly) of the population, which involves non-professional & semi-professional traders. It is the easiest money to harvest for the big players.

Every confirmation is failed both ways. So its just FX which is swinging headlessly so far.

try a larger timeframe and avoid straight line technical anaysis

Well I was tempted to add to shorts, but I'm keeping what's open. 1,14 may very well be hit soon, but we'll see, the market is a bit strange, it seems a bit low on liquidity at the moment...
