Bearish PA on the D1 chart and news. Entered after the news candle had shown good momentum. CM used to manage trade.
Initial SL 30
TP1 +30 (CM moved SL to BE)
TP2 +50
TP3 not reached manually closed for +60 when price stalled

2015 Week 18 - Trade Summary:

3 trades in total:
- 2 wins
- 0 BE
- 1 Loss

Three trades for me this week on EA H1. Missed the main move of the week on Thursday as I had an event at work all morning. Checked my charts a few hours later to see that LO had formed a 200 pip candle!!! Always the way...

Anyway, 2 wins and a loss with my 1:2 Risk:Reward gave another +6% this week. Slowly building up the new live account

Monday: I opened my charts at LO and watched the LO candle form a two candle reversal formation. I was now ready for London to trend down for the session. However, I waited for a break of the Asian low (marked by the white line). Entered on a break of this level with TDI green crossing down through red, yellow and the 50 line). Price immediately reversed spiking me out of the trade. Markets were flat for most of the day. (-25, -2%)

Tuesday: Posted this one earlier in the week. I took entry on the LO+1 candle following a break below the LO candle with TDI green sitting below red, yellow and 50. Price was choppy initially but started to move prior to NY. A quick spike hit my TP and had I been around at the time, I might have considered moving to +100. (+50, +4%)

Wednesday: Tried entering as soon as LO broke above the Asian high but my trading platform crashed when I placed the order. By the time I rebooted it, price had moved almost 15 pips higher! I took a risk and entered anyway. My poor entry meant I had that London fell short of my TP. I kept my SL at -25 and my TP was eventually hit in NY. (+50, +4%)

Thursday: I was unable to trade on Thursday as I had an event at work which started bang on LO. Had I traded, it would have been TMS entry on the break above Frankfurt candle for +50 or possibly +100. I certainly didn't expect the 250 pip session we ended up with! Its also worth noting the double top which occurred at the end of NY to signify the end of the short term trend. Something that I've noticed happens a lot whilst following this pair.

Friday: I don't trade bank holidays so had already decided at the beginning of the week that I wouldn't be trading today. Frankfurt was surprisingly volatile but London was fairly predictable on the whole, moving sideways for most of the session. Had I entered, I would have been stopped out early on in the session for a loss.

I plan to trial some split position trading next week using CM. This seems to be increasingly popular in this thread, particularly for intra-day traders. Hopefully I'll get some time this weekend for some back-testing so I can choose some suitable targets.

I like the idea of using 3 batches (eg. TP's at +50, +100, +150, all with 25 pip SL, risking 1% on each batch). Had I applied this on the past week's trades, it would have generated 15% as oppose to 6%. Had I traded Thursday as well, it would have given 27% account growth in a single week whilst never risking more than 3% at a time.

That LO yesterday was incredible. I had a pending order reaching TP in under 15 minutes.

Is your 25 pip SL not too tight for the EA during London ? I'm trying to find some magic numbers for the GA and EA on the H1 LO frame.

but I still confuse to determine TP or SL.
I have used Cave manager. but still not get best setting. I Trade 1H chart
anyone can share the Cave manger setting ?

Hello everyone,

I was introduced to this tread by a friend, and I'm amazed at the legacy Big E has left behind!! May he RIP!

I'm going to start reading the long tread from post 1 on, but I would like to have the latest indicators used on MT4. Could someone please share or point to the post that has the latest indicators I would need?

Also, there is talk of MTF Dashboard and Cave Manager, someone please let me know what these are and how they fit into this system?

Check this post by senior member Emmanuel, for TMS newbies:

You'll find there shortcuts to take and the 2 basic indicators - APB and the TDI. The rest of them vary with members but these two are the core method.

Also make sure you read all posts by member Snarlyjack from October 2014 until now.

Read post #647 and see beyond what is written there... (price action + tdi..)

The CaveManager has nothing to do with the TMS. It is a trade manager. It is used to set SL/TP and manage a trade in batches. It has its own thread, you can go there for info. It is very useful EA.

Hi

I attached the indicators and template that you need , the cave manager is for managing your trade after open 'partial close/set TP/SL' I attached a pdf of how to use it in TMS, if you need any additional indicators check the paperclip, you'll find what you need .

Hi lookleft , i have the indicator in my folder but when i click to see it in the navigator its absent , how can i get a screenshot impossible.

Hi ZeF,

I've been following this pair for a while and don't ever remember seeing an LO candle like yesterday's. Pretty disappointed to have missed it.

The 25 pip SL can be tricky and I certainly wouldn't use any less during LO. Most of the times that I take a loss, it's because I enter too early on while the initial LO noise is occurring, or I get the trend direction for the session wrong. It's best to wait for some clear PA confirmation to signal that the London trend has begun and then jump in. I'd say the best way to come up with some figures though is to manually backtest GA and EA with several different SL's for the past few weeks. See which give the best results for your strategy.

Firstly have you closed and restarted MT4? Also Bernardi had the same problem so make sure you have all the Synergy Pro indicators in the indicator folder (there is a zip in the paperclip) as the MTF seems to rely on one of them even if you don't have them all on the chart.
