Until now I ignored news all together but to complete my set of trading strategies I want to trade the direct impact of news but what I am lacking to find is a statistics site relating news.

What is the average pip move a currencies is expected to move after a news release.
What are the biggest news (the categorization high impact news resulting in an immediate reaction of 10 pips doesn't really help here).
What are the important news for certain commodities e.g. silver or indices like the dax or dow.

Is there any information like this available on the net?

I almost solely trade news but differently from VVFish. He is in a league of his own and very very successful at it. To answer you i would say watch the news and how the markets react to them. you will begin to see which ones are trade worth and how to trade them. I have spent more than a year doing that and now i have an idea which news are tradable and which ones are not. Lately I have added crude to the list thanks to VVFish.
