The fact that everyone insists on being short E/U and didn't even see a move of this size coming makes me question the entire use of this thread. Including Mr. UJ long who I was telling him for weeks it was bearish. Oh wait...i forgot...he looks at yearly charts.

Why do you have the definite view that hedging is the magic practice during uncertainty and volatility. This is totally wrong. Most of the time, it ends negatively for traders. Even if you are hedging you will never know the top or the bottom of the move, and most of the time you will close one of the trades prematurely.

you re serious?... i didn't have internet access, i had to move in my new home... so i missed the down trend 1.10 to 1.0459 and the fomc spike, the last i saw was the 1113 spike... i saw only the daily price closes in French newspaper (Paris stock exchange closes)... nothing indicated a spike at 1.10... i had realized it too late when we were climbing it back at 1.0820...

if you take an opposite trade of the same instrument that is still open, you are not doing hedging, you are actually paying your broker spread and at the same time still using leverage which may wipe your account on large spikes like swissi. do not confuse yourself with equivalently closing part or all of an existing trade.

my lasts posts (before i changed of home location), were about a yearly support at 1.10... so this thing must be the R that killed lot of profit from our short... this is so embarassing...

no matter what u see or think.. its not broke till its broke. many things are at or near mids or b/o status.. gasoline is at a um.. silver is at 16.68, gold just below 1219.36.. apple134.36...aud 80.14 high 80.24.. usdx just above 95.86 that's 50+ish eu at low or 1.104x.. near is not a break.. r/r is always better near fear.

put a sock in it.. u said the same thing as it dropped 500 + pips. and like many others climbing out the woodwork, were silent near lows.
