Hello everyone, this is my first reply to the forum.
I can't start a new thread, so I want to question here something related to news trading.
This morning we had a lot of bad news for Eurozone:

French Flash Manufacturing PMI 48.4
EURFrench Flash Services PMI 50.8
EURSpanish Unemployment Rate 23.8%
EURGerman Flash Manufacturing PMI 51.9
EURGerman Flash Services PMI 54.4
EURFlash Manufacturing PMI 51.9
EURFlash Services PMI 53.7

So how would you analyze the EURUSD? My bet was it was going down, but it went up. My only explanation for this is that GBP Retail Sales has more influence than all the previous news together. Is this assumption correct?

I have barely a week of forex trading experience, so feel free to criticize everything I say, I am trying to learn.

Mr Fish, can i ask you something if you dont mind my kind aquatic craniate?

How long have you been trading the news in this fashion? and, in your opinion, do you feel it is a worthwhile long term trading formula that can work?

I see you primarily scalp the M1 when trading the news events, how exactly do you manage a SL level? seems you go for grabbing a few pips only? Also, for anyone who wants to trade news or any other high volatility times; slippages, requotes, etc are very common place with these types of trades. For this reason a good decent broker is required, do you mind sharing your insight on this? which broker do you use for this strategy?

Thoughts on "smart traders"
