Trading Made Simple for Day Charts

Here's the current template for the TDI settings for RSI = 3 and TSL = 8 for use on day charts as well as the custom indicators (these need to be installed before adding the template). This is with the Synergy APB - if you prefer Heikin Ashi, just delete the APB and add the HA instead.

Indicators:

Main Chart
Bill Williams Fractals
Average Price Bars (APB) - these can be edited
100ema moving average
200ema moving average
7 linear weighted - shift = 1, weighted close HLCC/4
ATR pips ul corner

Indicator window 1

I did not know that different settings were required for tdi for different tf. What tdi settings would u suggest for H1 and H4. Thank you and God Bless.

Default settings are RSI=2, TSL=7

are u sure, because this is making my tdi take wild swings. Even on the daily chart my tdi looks like yours only if the rsi is 13.

Got an eye on GBPUSD, overall long term trend is still down and it has hit near the peak of the last pullback. If the bar changes color I will look to enter.

Price is coming off of a Weekly s/r/ level at 1.3100, so if price can close at the current levels, an entry on the next candle could be an option. TDI crossing out of the 32 zone with MBL heading upwards is also a nice confirmation {image}
If you got in on this then TP1 was good for 140 pips with TP2 and TP3 sitting at 300pips.

If you are in this trade then TP2 should have triggered for 420pips which leaves TP3 running at 390pips with SL at the bottom of the current candle for a lock in of 130pips

Are you in the mood to let this run, or take the current profit?

Hey hsn,

I'm also watching this pair, I'm waiting on the next candle because I want to see a strong candle away from the 100ma and then I will go short, also I personally dont enter a trade on a Sunday night, like to leave the markets alone for 24H after the weekend just to let things get settled. Its a good strong cross and will enter looking for a new low for T2 if a strong bear candle is produced on Monday showing the 100ma has no strength, but look left, sitting on bits of support so I want a strong candle.

Im no expert but from my experience of using this method you just need to be patient and take only the best signals, do not over trade taking every cross. My average over the past 6 months is only 8 trades per month consisting of 2 losses, 3b/e and 3 winning, works for me with 3x1RR.

looks like a great set-up, however, here are my key concerns:

TDI has yet to cross

TSL is still moving higher

After a large price action move like this, it cam often result in a pull back, so I will wait for the Sunday candle, but it does look so tempting!

Is there a sell setup on GU? I see that previous bar close bellow MA7 and TDI cross.

Hey dinhienhy,

I'm also keeping an eye on this pair. Its not a trade for me just yet because of previous support/consolidation area, sitting on the 100ma, long wick on the previous candle showing lack of strength. I will post a chart on how I see things. I dont use the 7ma but I like the look of it, I didnt know Britpip used this.

I only enter on the close of a candle, so for me in the UK thats 10pm tonight.

Although the TDI cross is good look at the price action, although the current candle looks like a strong bear candle its not at all (currently), look at where the opening price is and where the price currently is, no momentum. I dont use smaller TF but I'm sure they will confirm the lack of momentum. So moving on, for me to enter this trade tonight I will need to see a move away from the 100MA, the ATR7 is 168 so I want to see price action moving south towards the 21MA and not just sitting where it opened up. This would show a strong bear candle and I would then enter.

Hope that makes sense as to why I'm not entering yet. Im sure BP will have other reasons to me also, so I look forward to hearing what he has to say on this set up.

Hey Dinhienhy, not nice to see the GU lose momentum. Your right in saying it closed below the 100ma on both candles but I like to see it move well away and cross the 21ma and not just sit around undecided, still it could head down from here... no one knows...

The only trade for me this week is the GA cross that happened last night. I use Cave Managers capital protection so stop is actually at BE even tho it doesnt show that on the chart.
