If I remember correctly he said it's because they want to be neutral for risk. If they keep the longs after the options expire they aren't. (Which isn't to say that they won't have made a profit on those longs if they bought them, say 25 pips below the call and started selling them just before the strike price of the call, to keep the options out of the money. ) Also I guess if they were selling calls at price x their general outlook near that price has to be bearish. I don't know. I'm not sure I really understand it either, but that's what makes sense to me.

Thanks. I was expecting a run to 1.08 at around 11:00 am EST but maybe that had already happened earlier in this trading session?? Otherwise didn't seem like there was much effect

I thought the doji candlestick on the EUR/USD daily chart was a signal that the pair would move to the upside but that was not the case. Consolidation continues for the moment and I doubt it will end before the Eurogroup meeting on the 24th.

GBPUSD
Plan to trade short at 1.5166, natural resistance and 1.618 Ext H4.
No need to risk much as PA points to 1.55 target for Bullish engulfing Weekly chart.
There might be opportunities to join longs on retracement.
