No it is not!!!!
It is about business and good management. You must analyse loss as well as profit, balancing greed and fear. Whoever having no fear is only gambling. That was my transition point from profitable demo trader into real account blowing. It is not a nice experience, when I was asking myself why I was good trader in demo and a shet one on real.

dude. I trade real. and as I say. theres a difference between realized loss and floating loss. I don't give a crap about floating loss, ie drawdown as long as its manageable and that it doesn't diminish my ability to place other trades. floating loss/drawdown is part of the risk we have to take in order for us to possibly gain a potential reward.

as long as Floating loss or drawdown doesn't hit 100%, the account isn't margin called and is still alive to come back into break even or possibly profit.

I have no time to argue with you, but if you think you know better, then the ignore button aint too far away.

watch your exclamation marks because I honestly do not have to pay much attention to your post, you haven't proven anything to me yet. so watch your tone.

thats very nice. more often than not, i find myself contradicting my own trades when i read the forums about other traders view.
This is something i really need to work on, and to believe my own analysis and not get affected when others say otherwise.

well, i have to say, there is so many naysayers here about your positioning, but you kept on to it, and i believe you'll do very well with the UJ trade.

screw the naysayers. profit can be made both up and down. I just happen to pick a direction and stick to it. that's how you make money....

I have blown up many accounts so i know. The important thing is to look into your system and fine tune it. It isn't about playing on a demo or trading real money, your strategy just happen to be wrong in that situation and you blew the account. In short, your strategy isn't good enough. I have learnt the first thing is not to lose too much money, as long as my account don't fall to zero, i can work on my strategy and move forward.

If you really need to experience trading real money or anything, just deposit $10 with Oanda and play small. At least you can practice on a live account.

actually... the 10 dollar on oanda thing is a crappy idea. lost of traders put 100 usd and think they can grow to 10000 in a day and they tend to overleverage on a trade only to realize if the trade goes against them by 10 pips and they're as good as dead...
so no. 10 dollar is bad idea.

even at 1000 usd I play with micro lots.....

FYI, you don't need to trade in lots with Oanda. You can open a $5 trade if you want, its even smaller than your micro lots.

I think no matter what the outcome of ZEW is, pair will test 1.0685/90 because its about empty around 60/70. It needs more sellers and more importantly if it wants to head down to 615/640.
They think they are smarter than I am.

The purpose is to practice on a live account.
I have never said anything about growing the account, so i don't know why you need to repeat it.

So you tell me is this smaller than your micro lots and good for practice on a live account?

i think its even more problematic than demo. they wont feel pain loosing those 10bucks and wont take it as serious as they should.
and after 20 deposits one will realize it would have been more productive to put 200 in once...
