HOLY SH*T UCAD!!! You bastard you. Had a pending long for a few days at 1.24 with at SL 1.23 to ride range back up and lets just say I got MURDERED while at class today... entire weeks profits gone you win today markets....

Pretty crazy. I didn't reach my TP but still nice profit and got out of my long before news. Seems like most were short here, so lots of money for everyone.

Testing a short-term long for the usd/cad at 1.22980. Manual soft SL, hard SL at 1.22650.

Targets are 1.2350, 1.2400/1.2380, 1.24500, 1.2500, 1.2550. Price might swerve halfway between my targets, so that's something to be wary of.

Current TP is set at 1.2500. It's doubtful we'll reach it within the week for now, but it's for a just-in case scenario if we get a huge bounce back up.

Update: Loonie being bought/sold several hundred pips in any direction usually offers couple dozen pips to pick up following a trade from the respective top/bottom due to price reactive bounce. Only question is whether the small bounce will lead to further retracement or another movement down.

Waiting for PA to push to 1.2350/70 zone to enter new fresh shorts

Well that it is your opinion and i do respect it I'm looking for short opportunities from 1.2350 to 1.2400 for another leg down toward 1.22ish

Congrats to all those who shorted this pig. Seriously! I had no idea the US numbers would keep on disappointing. I guess the Fed's three rounds of QE didn't work after all. I guess all us americans better get prepared for a japanese style economy.

And I really wanted a buck fifty exchange rate! Oh well I guess I should be greatful I got stopped in the money. I thank you all for scaring me enough to push up my SLs.

I like buying the USD v the CAD here. The economic news coming out of Canada has been horrendous, and a weaker US economy doesn't bode well for the Canadian economy going forward. I think we're going to continue to range 1.24 to 1.28 for the foreseeable future, and eventually break higher. Of course, today could be the beginning of big move down assuming the 1.24 to 1.28 range is finally broken to the downside rather than the upside, but I don't think it will be. The next few days will tell.
