I'm eyeing a retest of monthly & possibly yearly lows for the eur/usd within the next month or so. FOMC minutes announcement will probably cause a spike up-only question is where to get in for shorts.
I don't expect a spike as high as the one from the previous FOMC news though; thanks to that, most people are probably cautious and on the lookout for something similar, so odds of that happening are less likely.
Nevertheless, I'm definitely NOT holding any major positions up to the FOMC, and whatever positions I have after the FOMC will have a tighter SL than usual. I don't need another bazooka to hit my hard SL. My hard SLs aren't meant to be hit (they're a precaution against false spikes); most of the times I leave early with a manual soft SL.
God, 60 pip hard SL has never hurt so much; factor in the large short selling positions I had, and you have one of my worst performances in the past few months.
