on the daily chart, the price is going downward and by having a positive divergence being formed, a reversal is in sight. it is expected if conversion zone around 1.1100 area is broken above, the way will be paved for the price to rise to around 1.1500 and 1.1800.

Btw watch out... Divergences does not necessarily play out all the time

to understand a divergence, or a tl.. one most try to ask the question why? whats the cause? once that answered many less divergences or tl will be posted.

Actually the move from 1.05 to 1.1 i also asked why and whats the cause for the move up....
Couldnt fathom a fundamental reason because despite bad us data, us economic indicators were still farahead of europes'
Thats when i know its a stop hunt...

Sometimes I trade using divergence as indicator too.
In general it works good.
However sometimes divergence takes longer than I thought (which mean red drawdown for a while), sometimes it failed too.
Have to consider other factors too.
Just share my 2 cents.

I'm not having a very good track record using divergence as indicator... even though I use the higher timeframes (1h, 4h, daily) maybe it's as gator suggested: I don't know what drives the divergence... question is, how do you know what causes this?

Not a good time for long but good time to close old sell position ....partially .

Hopefully 1.1250-1.13 , someday for sell on scalp. #Dreaming

perfect example for tl is about the same.. what makes the trend line?.. why would one say a trend has broken before getting above of the original points that the tl was drawn from? a slowing in pace closer to 1.0 is not a reversal (or any level).. some logic such as a hh or LL needs to be present, to say trend has broken.. a slowing of pace or a bounce before making a LL or HH is not a change of trend. so next time one sees this, its best to map for yourself and look for the point to be broken with a hh or a ll..before thinking its a trend change. when using tl alone

My favourite TF to trade divergence is H1, while looking at bigger trend.
I believe there is psychological (sorry if misspelled, english is not my mother tounge) that causes it.
my 2 cents.
