3 trades afthe NFP news. H1 trade.
1.2 GU trades .+75 and Scale for +13
2.One EU trade for +102 Pips
When the candle change from red to green ,I entered long both the same time.

In most cases, I focus on one pair, on one time frame, each day. I determine what pair I am going to trade each week and sometimes each day, based on a number of things like price movement, candle patterns, S&R, upcoming news, trend lines, etc.. I also do a weekly analysis of the higher time frames for direction and volumes.

2015 Week 14 - Trade Summary:

3 trades in total:
- 1 win
- 0 BE
- 2 Losses

A frustrating week for me this time round on EA H1 where my discipline got the better of me. After a good start on Monday, two losses knocked my confidence forcing me to sit on the sidelines for Thursday which turned out to be the best day of all. I finished the week at break-even.

Monday: Frankfurt matched Friday's high and drew back slightly. I entered long at LO+1 once price broke above this level. TDI green had crossed above red with both above yellow, although technically this was a late entry since it was the 4th blue candle. With no high impact news scheduled, I expected this trade to take a while and it did. It wasn't until NYO that it finally closed for +50. (+50, +4%).

Tuesday: I was aware of the High Impact Euro news at LO+2. However, once I saw the LO candle form a nice pin bar and draw back from it's high and then LO+1 drop below Frankfurt I couldn't resist entering a short trade. I paid the price, as PA immediately reversed and I was taken out in a pullback. The real move wasn't until the NY session when a PCRF formation re-tested the LO high before finally dropping. (-25, -2%).

Wednesday: I opened my charts around FO to see a triple top at the end of the Asian session. I watched as FO broke above this level but then drew back down and at this point I was fairly sure London would trend south from here. I took true TMS entry short at LO but got faked-out. (-25, -2%).

Thursday: I opened my charts at LO to see that Frankfurt had a made a big move upwards of around 50 pips. I don't like trading at LO after a large move at FO since many times I've been faked out and often I find that after a large FO move, the first few hours of London can move sideways. On Thursday, the LO candle moved up and drew back reinforcing my decision not to enter. However LO+2 made a strong move up and this continued for the rest of the day.

Friday: I had already decided at the start of the week that I wouldn't be trading this Friday. With all the bank holidays on good friday, combined with NFP I knew London wouldn't behave as normal. It pretty much played out as expected. Flat until NFP which caused the large spike at NYO.

A slightly disappointing result in the end but I guess break-even isn't the end of the world. I'm unsure I'll be trading next week with it being the Easter week. I'll see how things look at the time.

I sold GN yesterday but was trapped back at a little consolidation. Seeing the Day chart, it looks like it is going for another deeper leg and different from the uptrend I was expecting.

Am I missing something here I just can't to score any profits from the start of 2015.....

There is no uptrend on the Daily chart you posted above. Look at the Monthly, you see that on your Day chart - the Mar month Open high and Close low, that is Bearish bias when we trade April opening like in this week 1 to 3 April.

Switch your price chart to see the Bar Chart over the Synergy_APB Pro. This will show the real price price Open and Close, and also the High and Low...OHLC.

Look at MN chart, what is the market type? trending or sideways? what is the range?
Identify those key swing levels of the price and use them as your support and resistance.
Also use the prvious MN OHLC as your support and resistance when you trade D1 and H4 chart timeframes.

Then look at Weekly chart. Is there a trend established? what is the range?
If the trend is not clear, use the W1 candle/price bar to form a trading bias in new trading week.

The D1 chart seen on 2April close was clearly a bearish bias to trade on 3Apr. And there is an obvious Historical S&R plus the BRN 1.9900 where that BEEB 2 Apr D1 price bar/candle.

Although the Synergy_Pro APB indicates a no trade bar (gray color), the real Price Action is good enough to take a sell trade on the next day 3April (see my chart below). The key here is to look for the trade entry in lower TF like H4 or H1. Remember - TMS is aggressive compare to the Synergy model, so we rely more on PA and S&R, over the PA and the PAC.

Hope this explains how I approach the market using the multi-timeframe top down approach.

NFP Day candle:

We had NFP last night NY time.
Now with the weekend, your task is to look at all your currency pairs on D1 chart.
Look at the NFP 3Apr D1 candle, Hhow many of your pairs show NFP follows the higher TF direction?
Look at the spike 5-mins before and after the NFD time, what do you see? It is often this knee jerk spike that will kill many short term trades.
Most long term traders stay away using the 2-Days look back to be safe.

Thanks for your charts they are very useful to me, as I'm on the EA H1 LO as well for 90% of the trades, the few rest is GA. I do have a question, seeing your two losses are SELL entries. We're in a strong bull market with the EA since early March, and one would assume only BUY entries ?! Could you please share your reasoning of entering a sell order in this bull market?

hi bigcake ..nice trade congrets.would you like to share your trading enter stg please ...how you enter by pending order or after nfp news release ..... i was not trading mood because of many bank holyday and try to safe weekly gain green pips....hahah lol thanks in advance

Hi,classy,
I traded the NFP news used the pending orders .About 2 minites before the NFP news release,I put the pending order fews pips higher than the 200 EMA and the yesterdays' high ,and the stop loss was 40 pips for each order . but the most important is that ,on the daily TF and H4 TF ,these 2 pairs are all in uptrend ,so i setted the buystop only on the H1 TF,if the SL was hit ,i will stop trading all the day ,because most of the time ,the NFP news can be more than 150 pips move ,so 40 pips' SL could be a good choice for me.
When i got 21 pip profit ,i moved my SL to BE ,and left the price going .Luckily ,the TP was hit.

thanks a lot for sharing yopur trade plan.....i will try some time same as you ..but problem is yo yo candle .some times SM..big guns pull down/up 70/80..pips then move like rocket opposite 150/180 pips last day i tried to catch pull back but after 2/4 candle 5min tf it is all quiet on western front..haha lol
