I still have not had access to the portal either, it is getting a bit f'ing annoying now. There is no reason it should take this long.

i had had an accout with etx for 2 years before alpari. Etx are very good

Yes very annoying,I take it the longer they drag it out the more they make.

No mail yet for the claim portal, but I got the one pointing to the ETX promo video. They better send me some hookers to convince me to keep my money there.
I'm in talking with etx support on twitter, as i said they confirmed they must wait kpmg/fscs on their decision for issue funds on to them/us

Hi Guys,
I'm staying with the FSCS option because it said in the email from KPMG regarding ETX that funds would not reach clients any quicker by going with ETX. I already have a live account with ETX but I don't use it. I found trade execution on their MT4 platform for me was poor. It didn't seem to connect to their (single) server properly, connection bars at the bottom right were green top and red bottom. Should be green and green for proper connection and I am in the UK. Every other broker's MT4 works fine for me. So I opened an account with ActivTrades instead.

I would be interested to know does ETX show more than 1 server for anyone else? Anyone else get good trade open and close without price error 3 times each time? My experience was the same on their demo MT4. I also requested a few times to get my leverage increased but their support said they wern't offering their advertised 400:1 after the CHF debacle. So again, I wasn't happy with that so I looked elsewhere.

Thank you for your recent enquiry about Alpari (UK) Limited.

FSCS is a rescue fund, which deals with claims for compensation against UK Regulated Financial Services Providers where:
• The firm is no longer trading, and
• It is unable (or likely to be unable) to meet claims itself. This is usually because they do not have sufficient funds to meet claims.
Alpari (UK) Limited entered the Special Administration Resolution regime on 19 January 2015. Richard Heis, Samantha Bewick and Mark Firmin of KPMG have been appointed Joint Special Administrators (JSAs)
The JSAs are contacting the majority of Alpari clients who:
• Held only cash balances on all of their accounts at 9:00 GMT, 15 January 2015;
and
• Did not make further trades.

These clients will receive an email from the JSAs, to invite them to access the JSA Claims Portal. Clients will be asked to agree the cash balance and make a claim through the portal.
An update explaining this has been given at www.kpmg.com/uk/alpari.
If you wish to make a separate claim for compensation to FSCS, please confirm this on the JSA Claims Portal. FSCS will pay valid claims based on the account balance(s) agreed on the JSA Claims Portal.
If you accept compensation from FSCS:
 Your entire claim to the JSAs will be transferred to FSCS;
 FSCS will receive any future dividends from the JSA that would otherwise have been payable to you;
 If your claim is larger than the FSCS compensation limit of £50,000 (GBP) you may be entitled to receive some or all of the dividends received by FSCS.
 Under the terms of the Special Administration Regulations, we will work with the JSAs to ensure the return of client assets as soon as is reasonably practicable.

The claims portal says the FSCS will contact us in due course but it doesn't say HOW they will contact us? It could be via email or letter. So I am sitting twiddling my thumbs waiting for FSCS to contact me. I am also checking their 2015/news section on the fscs website regularly for any Alpari client updates. Nothing new so far...

I told them that some people who didnt have trades on the 15th and 16th still don't have access to the portal (you) and others who did have trades on the 15th and 16th where previously told they would have access to the portal by the end of march (me).

So I have asked what the delay was. I will let you know if they respond and what they say.
