Seems that the USDCAD could re-test 1.2450 support soon.

*sigh* right back to support. A false breakout provided by Yellen and her credit bubble creating minions.

Even a terrible oil stock report won't help. Demand and supply pricing theory fly right out the window.

Adding more usdcad longs and cadjpy shorts is getting really expensive.

Welp I can't see a tech pattern other than alayinizamk's sharp downtrend resistance. (cheers to you btw)

Marry that to the previous consolidation support and the weekly 10 EMA bounce and I bought some more ahead of the GDP number tomorrow. I am putting all my contracts on a round number stop of 2000. I will make some $$ but not the pie in the sky $$ I was hoping for.

Maybe I was too excited about the long. But it seems I will need to keep trading the rest of the year rather than hang with my kids this summer.

Keep the faith man, I finally bought a few around last weeks low, I ve got that at 1.2447, haven't been able to post much last little while , lets get it back to the highs and beyond lol, hope your doing well man , cheers

I was also very bullish before crude got my attention and fed made me anxious. I recall this dream very well i was expecting something like usd/rub dam it outlook of new oil cycle looks to make this even worse now.

Resistance @ 1.2644... I'm waiting for the 4 hour candle to close below 1.2616 to trigger my short entry.

I wonder what the price action will do if bad inflation numbers affect both US and Canada

Anyway, hoping for good us cpi and bad cad rpi. Basically good US cpi or pce whatever it is today because I got short Eur on friday. So long usd all the way. Please Yellen?

Well it's nice to dream isn't it?

I am still not convinced the oil price decline is over. But there is definitely a reluctance to sell off at this level. Which is definitely disappointing.

Wish I would have waited till then to short it. I'm short at 1.2615. I think it has topped now and will go to my target at 1.2188, probably much more. It should NOT go to 1.2757 for my analysis to be correct.

You might be going the wrong way with that trade for the time being. Because the daily 10 and 20 emas crossed to the upside suggesting momentum is on the dollar bulls side.

But I am expecting a pull back in a couple hours since the hourly and 4H charts suggest the pair has been over bought without any significant news to support the current price action.

Wow, I have been waiting all night for a pull back so I can add, but this thing is so bid. 4H doesn't even come close to touching 10 ema.

I guess everyone is expecting a terrible gdp out of canada. Maybe I will get a chance after the gdp report.

On a different note, my cadjpy short is working really nice. Maybe I will get the nickel it owes me soon, since it was so reluctant to go my way last week.
