Basically both side could be happening. It could go as far as 1.115-1.2 or it could go back to 1.05. The safest bet is wait either way to play out.

Going to wait until weekly or daily candle give more hint only enter.
Read the entire market, money is made on the main trend not the fluctuation

Well, I agree that is the case right now... but if the market goes into full risk off mode and there's panic... we can see it within a week. I'm more in your boat though 1.07-1.08 if/when we do come down..

Yeah I had forgotten about the mid east nuke talks and such, also I kind of forgot about greece, both could send the euro down OR up?! I'm confused more now.

What about the talks about a european army. If they cause problems next to russia that could cause eu down too.

Makes perfect sense too if you think about it... war breaks out, risk off hits markets... euro/usd doesn't really react to it, euro goes above the highs at 1.104 to stop out......... and then US session starts and we see EU sell off for a bit? would make sense to me. We'll see.

....indeed but yen it's becoming a bit lacklustre in recent years. Dollar will only trigger when the risk event is confirmed and in play thats why the early alerts in my previuos post. Usually and bastardising a risk event, the pattern is the following for reference:

  1. first equities and more "riskier" assets early sell,
  2. then gold spike and less riskier assets rally,
  3. only in real risk off confirmed dollar rally and if the risk is extreme
  4. Run to treasuries as the ultimate haven

sisse, what levels are you tracking in for the GDP tommorow? hows if overshoot above 2.4% and hows if undershoot under 2.2%? sorry asked 3 times
