Hey MathTrader7!

There seems to be a bug in the EA that is hounding me in most of the versions!
I have attached the EA to almost 10 charts and on random pairs even if "check 3rd candle" parameter is set to false,
it takes a trade on the open of 4th brick once the EA is activated after restart of MT4 or on attaching to a new chart though the entry had to be taken only on the completion of 2 bricks and on the opening of 3rd bar!

Pls remember we don't want to be catching a moving train!

Also can you change the default logic to check only the close of 2 consecutive new color bricks and not 3 bricks!

ok, thanks for your experiance. I have several EAs running on forward testing for more than a year now, some less. At this point is demo forward testing. I am thinking of building a EA that would run on a live platformS(several live accounts with different brokers) and the EA would just write the signals and outcome, not trade it. Yeah i know I have several issues to consider (trade timeout and perhaps broker canceling me after few months?) but that doesnt bother me at this point.
I think this is relatively nice plan to play the forward testing part of this business.

thanks for the backtest, but i see one problem, the quality history is 25% (i might be wrong my Chinese reading skill r a little rusty). it s better if you can get btw 90 to 100% Since it s really hard to backtest renko, im not sure its reliable.

ok.

I am now trading 3 days with Mathtraders EA on live account 3000$.

I am trading 0.2 lot size. Leverage of 100
Pairs: EURUSD, EURJPY, GBPUSD,GBPJPY.
Brick Size is 5

Monday i made 30$, Yesterday i made 100$ Profit, today till mid London Seassion 100$.

It works fine. First EA I ever used but i feel comfortable with it because i dont have to fear a total loss because of tight stops and perfect working trailing stops and close on candleswitch.

Thank you really for that nice EA. It rounds up my portfolio really much.

The entry on this chart is correct.

If check 3rd bar=true, it wouldn't have taken the trade.

Check the conditions.

Close[2]>Open[2]&&Close[1]>Open[1]&&Close[1]>MA21&&Close[1]>MA50.

All of those conditions were met and the trade was executed.

If you want to wait for confirmation, then waiting until Close[3]<Open[3] would have nullified the conditioning as it was the 3rd consecutive buy candle that closed above the Moving Averages.

you are right, it is not easy to backtest renko, and not sure its reliability. so i decided to forward test it in demo.

i don't know why, but in GBPUSD renko hunter seem make profit more easy. At least with default settings.

Part of your issue is the amount of history that you have...the more historical data saved, the more bars can be printed.

After that, you have HLC bars selected, to mimic others, use the Candle selection.
