Thought it would've shot down after nearly hitting 0740.. back up testing close to 0740.. still holding my shorts. Expected settling near 1.06 if Fed dropped patience but now not sure at all. May hang in the 1.07's for awhile? Confused.
Vision without action is a daydream. Action without vision is a nightmare.

(Bloomberg) -- FOMC deletes patient stance on raising rates, adds that April liftoff is unlikely, says U.S. economic growth has moderated somewhat.

  1. Fed previously said in Jan. 28 statement that U.S. economy was expanding at solid pace, now adds that export growth has weakened
  2. Now says appropriate to raise rates when labor mkt further improves and officials are reasonably confident that inflation will return to 2% in medium term

    1. Changing guidance doesnt reflect any decision on timing of liftoff


  3. Officials keep language that says economy should continue to expand at moderate pace with appropriate accommodation
  4. Keeps reference to labor mkt as having improved further, with strong job gains and a lower unemployment rate
  5. Continues to watch inflation closely, now says it will remain near recent low level in near term

    1. Inflation should rise gradually toward 2% over medium term
    2. Now sees mkt-based measures as remaining low


  6. Committee keeps sentence saying fed funds rate may remain below long-run normal levels for some time, even after employment and inflation approach levels consistent with Feds mandate

    1. Keeps international developments as one of factors in determining how long to keep rates low
    2. Also deletes language that said rate increases are likely to occur sooner/later depending on progress toward full employment/inflation goal


  7. Keeps references to household spending as rising moderately, business fixed investment as advancing, housing recovery as slowing; retains assessment that declining energy prices have boosted household purchasing power
  8. Decision was unanimous

well the last sentence was kinda dovish. so I am expecting a nice pull-back.

Those positions are underwater and still open, yeah, and they were stupid too, i figured this was coming, then shorted the near tops , price came down fast, i got out with profit, now short again and underwater on these new entries..

That last sentence never changed in all of its meeting minutes. Patience was just something grabbed. It was a huge misinformation campaign. And if you knew that, you would have rode the USD only to where it was clear that "patience" didnt mean shit to begin with dude. Absolutely NOTHING has changed from the FED's point of view. NOTHING.

The market is just going on with its..."oh next time..." charade. Im telling you, its trying to catch a falling knife.
