Interestingly, the end of September this year coincides with a cyclical turn in the stock market (US). Lots of things converging on that date. It could very well be a rate hike

What if rate hike is "No" E/u will be at ----------

Do any1 can give me an approximate answer ..... :nerd:

This is really a very simple answer i was just trying to get the scenario what will happen if rate hike is yes ... or no .....

what are the consequences in accordance to yes or no ..... i can assume that spikes will be there for hunting ....

I'm kinda curious to know what people expect with regard to the potential strength of the move either direction. I mean, if it's a YES for rate hike, and that is expected to cause a potential drop of X pips... would a NO for rate hike mean a potential rise of X pips too?... or would it be more like 2X pips, or maybe .5X pips? I'm probably not making any sense. I guess I'm just trying to say: Which do people think has the potential for a stronger (short term) move, regardless of direction? (And yeah I'm aware that most assume Euro will still decline in the medium/long term, regardless of what happens tomorrow.)

So what you're saying is, that regardless of a rate hike or not, USD will continue to post gains? Only if yes, it will spike up even moreso?

This is not necessarily true....
interest rate hikes in the past are not necessarily reasons why dow would fall... in fact im better that this time the DOW doesnt correct more than 10% only because the Dow is not even overvalued....
after such a long time... the Dow Jones index hasnt even caught up with the pace at which corporations P/E ratio have been increasing..... if the index goes above then yea you have a legit argument that DOW maybe overvalued....
so yea its not guaranteed....
