Personally I don't think that shorting the EU, just today, is such a good idea.
Actually I'm off from this pair today.
Was long yesterday, flat today.

Shorted UJ and UC.

Impatient sellers will not get a good entry point to reload because they sell in the middle of correction target.

I have taken a short @ 1.0598 as it dips back below 1.06 having rejected the Weekly-PP and yesterdays high, it needs to get below the Daily-PP and recent low 1.055x

Just because EU downtrend is strong, does not mean that this cannot be a long term bottom, anything is possible..

Recall SocGen's analysis that this is the base of a multi decadal corrective channel and completes the correction... A bounce here could be impulsive and go up very fast if it plays out.

When the Fed did QE, USD did not drop this much. In fact now it's rising. So it's not so simple.

Becareful when you load up shorts and keep averaging in..

rather looking for a long around 1.0552 but you mostly right so reconsidering

Last news pre FOMC coming. European numbers expected to be a lot better than forecast or at least positive inline with expectations.

Simple, direct, tradable and bumpy leg expected with good numbers to crack up 1.063x with extension 1.066x to form, sit and sleep in chop zone until the FED. To the other side with bad news, 1.053x still naked but now we have a mild valid and confirmed support until FOMC at 1.049x. That side is not something i would personally trade today.

GL all trading or positioning pre FOMC ...

Thanks for the chart and the good post. Standing back here. The intraday charts are starting to holds the lows and like you say- all attention to those recent intraday higher lows before the DP. I'm watching 1.0624 and it looks more "steppable" than "sellable". Maybe ZEW will decide which.

A recent 1.0615 is hard to crack by itself. And we still have 1.0645 and 1.068
Read the entire market, money is made on the main trend not the fluctuation

Considering to long the EU and GU if I see a decent level of support...
