1.0700 would be st bullish for the eu. as 1.0684 is the HH, but that's only confirmed if the next low is above 1.0462

A close above 1.0684 would help more than just a spike above. Closes count more.

for those of you guys that were asking last friday/weekend

If we did spike there- I'd be surprised. And I'd come back from my slumber this week and short- in that case a small stop can be used right above .68 (id go a couple pips above .70 just in case) because you would expect there not to be a HH, if there was a HH- your trade would no longer be valid, and you can get out with - a few instead of - a lot.

again- for those asking last week

Not guesses as you think. EU movement has coincidental follow my pattern for NZD crosses, and there is more room to be covered. So, I expect EU to still long. I have not traded EU today. So according to my NZD pattern, EU will go long and probably 1.07xx is the destination.

Looking back through the USD news, the only good USD news was NFP and 1 unemployment numbers report, everything else was less good than expected, which makes me wonder how much weight the FOMC will put on the "good" NFP news?

I see the path to parity as a good equity millipede opportunity!
Too close for pips, switching to points.

{quote} is that why consumption is down? regardless its present oil compared to present usd. both float and sink. emerging markets boosted by 40 years of oil encouraged wage economy with have the opposite effect as oil drops.. those emerging countries will have less labor influence with cheaper u.s oil.. it means less workers upcoming to buy cars etc. so less higher demand curve for oil then was projected just 5/10 years ago. if a product in china is now cheaper to produce in the u.s. it will no longer be produced in china. those workers in china...

Well I must say, there are a few incorrect assumptions and short-sighted expectations in that equation; I am not trying to be mean but your statement has several flaws:

- Cost of any production has a number of variables including energy and labour. The weight of the variable changes acc. to the product type some require less labour some more.

- OK say we see a 50% drop in oil prices, does that necessarily mean that production line will shift to back old town, what about the location challenges, what about the investment that has been made through out the years made in China, eastern asia, emerging countries.

- Any change in price has a time lag to make such decisions like where to produce now. Just because it dropped last 6-12 months do not force the producers to change the location of the production. A future plan of any mass production company holds several years, take BASF or Unilever, these companies can not act so quick as you'd like. They know for a fact that any political unstability in oil producing countries can drive the price up literally within days/weeks. You can't rely on the current drop and assume that the price will stay here indefinitely. You need more than one bullet to make such dramatic changes.

- The local demand of those countries changed significantly as well, as well as their living habits. The local demand is quadriple times more than 13 years ago.

- You also talk like as if if it is a good thing that those people not being able to aford the new car. I believe manufacturers think otherwise, they need to produce and they need to sell. Where else better you can sell the old technology, other than this new consumption generation? You think you can shift your factories back home and expect them to buy your products? I dont think so. They will do anything to make them be able to afford that new car.

Anyway, we are looking at this subject from diferent perspectives but your assumption and expectations are too strectched and simplified. Determining oil price is significantly more difficult than EUR/USD since there is actual demand which is used every second of our lives.

bmwīs largest plant is not spartanburg, thatīs still dingolfing atm.
2014 production: dingolfing 343.000 units, spartanburg 297.000
spartanburg might be the biggest plant in the future because of the suvīs produced there for the us demand, thatīs also a physical hedge of currency risk.
other reasons: itīs nice for a multi to have r&d in a high tax, high wage country (germany) and production somewhere else (working unions are weak in the us, wages and taxes lower, energy costs also).

Consolidation continued for EUR/USD today after the pair formed a doji candlestick on the four hour filter chart above the support at 1.0490 and climbed over 100 pips. The pair is likely headed for 1.08 or even 1.10, but I doubt this is the end of the bearish trend.
