if i wanted to survive in this high octane industry, Think long term.... and never go against the trend. even if you see an opportunity to catch a rebound/retracement trade in a downtrend... let it go... dont try to catch it..... just let it play out until you see a chance to short WITH the trend.

Joy to Greece uncertainty in the news again (and prob for the next six months), the markets enjoy a good fisting now and again.... They create uncertainty and hesitation they should bite the bullet, I will hand them the gun.

10% annualise it and with compound is about 313% annulised compounded return in 1 year... which is meh not that much...
considering hedge funds and activist funds have millions and Billions in managment the good ones still manage around 50-100% per annumm...
this means the larger the capital the less risky you become.....

sooo when you see some traders here making like 5000% annualised... thats because they are probably trading with only about 5000 usd or something.....

I'm mainly looking at M1 chart lol, altho I know what's going on in the bigger picture..

Edit: I switched again. this is really choppy and bidirectional. Depends on US order flow.

No i dont really use it in my trading, but its interesting to give it a look... I dont read the COT data from brokerage like oanda or fxcm or trader sentiment bullshit from brokerages
If i look i only look at the COT reports released once every week from CME, chicago mercantile exchange
They got COT reports in almost everything... Even milk, orange juice, crops, russian ruble, etc etc

Hi FxTyrant,

Sorry to add to the hoards that badger you, but I wonder if I could ask these two quick questions:

- I note from a previous post of yours that you use both a Bloomberg terminal and Thomson Reuters Eikon, via work. Acknowledging that these systems wouldn't cost the amount that they do if they were not of benefit, would you consider them worthwhile to casual traders, or is it really on in a professional environment that they are required?

- The Financial Times. One of the staple choinces for anyone that is serious about keeping up to date with the World's financial affairs; do you read this and if so, how much does the content/analysis/opinion help you form your own views?
