looking at the monthly or weekly, this present bear train is almost the same distance as the 2008 crash, almost as steep but not as violent 2008 had 3 mind blowing months of dumping, incredible pips, this train probably Jan only one to come close, this months certainly has potential at the moment, but means nothing until closed, congrates to the bear especially the ones who either got in early smelly finger hunting or in the meat of the move, right now there is potential for double dynamic if they start taking profit and buyers start entering it could domino effect,

any pullback (real) and there have been none since the train left south, it "will" be massive again looking at December 2008 was the biggest candle of all 2549 - 4719 fuken massive monthly candle

im thinking really dangerous time to be trading :nerd:

This is my daily chart. The yesterday candle ( bull candle ) has closed inside the band. A pull back close to middle band .. may be ? . Let us wait and see what happens.

okay we're headed lower... 1.0650 held off as a resistance... Pretty weak for a bullish bounce or even be called a retracement...

Wont happen... Buyers wont jump in.... Profit takers are not dumb enough to do it before US starts hiking rates

My advise for you...
You can put coutless amount of fancy indicators like bollinger band and macd or whatever... But not this...
Afterall they are still "indicative" of data from the past, it does not forecast nothing....
You are better off having a clear id a what are the fundamental backdrop of the currency pair ur trading and compliment it with a good understanding of Price action, then you'll eventually get somewhere

Price action is still not supporting of any retracement yet.... The wick to the top of yesterday's daily candle only manages to hit and fail at the open 2 days ago.... Thats still showing signs of bears in control.

I agree with you the PA does not convince me a retracement is due.....

Anyways, I play with stops, and do not like to carry on with any trade without a stop.

I think this is a minor bounce, mostly likely from people squaring up before Friday and/or profit takers who targeted 1.05 as a mere psych level ... .

That being said, can't rule out another short squeeze, particularly toward month end as folks lock in profits; the bullish RSI isn't there ... yet ... .

Great time to be trading. The trend is not going away... it can take a breather for a little but it's unlikely other than a few hundred pip move (which I'm currently expecting toward 1.08-1.1) but once that's complete, after a bit of sideways action and more distribution, we will make another low. Nothing better than a strong trend. I don't expect this to end at parity either, I expect 88c at some point in the next year and half or 2

Fundamentals are: ECB easing (underway) vs. Fed tightening (TBD) over a fairly sustained time horizon (several years, in all likelihood).
PA: Currently, lower lows and lower highs. I suppose today's price action is arguably a higher something; even on the 1H, though, it isn't anything beyond a lower high at this point ... .

So, down, down, down is what both fundamentals and PA says ... . And although I generally tend to try to tune out all the analysts' expectations for the pair, the consensus is uniform: down, way down, and possibly down some more ... . Crazy to go long ... .

I am going Long here... I can see very strong short sentiment in this forum. It's always better to go against this forum.. Long with price of 1.0607.. Stop loss is 30 pips below my entry...Looking for something above 60 pips profit..

Im not say trend is finished, it will be finished when we have a new trend, and price will be nowhere near where it is now.

All Im saying is trend trading is fine "UNTIL" we get a bounce, retrace, or reversal then trade plan really comes into play, people who blindly trade a trend especially those without stoploss and the above happens end up in deep shit, can get away with the no stop loss shit especially in a big trend which is what we have had for nearly a year now,

Off course no one will get red pip, and they will continue to wait for trend to save thier ass, to the point where they start to look stupid, and will disappear, nothing new to this thread

Those who use stop loss will take the loss and reassess, over and over, account protection etc if the above does happen they will identify in assessment and adjust, no glory, no boasting, just sensible trading to survive

I disagree with you about people who don't use SL are full of shit. If you really have a certain instrument down as strongly trending, and know the underlying conditions are all in play and the trend is still going, why take a loss on it? Just manage your money properly and look for better entries as it moves against you, as long as the trend is still in play you KNOW it will make a lower low or higher high. Now I know it is easier said than done and you can argue it's a guessing game as we don't ever really know anything, but when you see trends like we're seeing now, you can assume lower low will be made on EU for example until we see a higher high and higher low swing, we've yet to see that, as long as that's the case, expect lower lows. Maybe I'm wrong, but this strategy would have had 0 losses over 6 months now in many markets. I know the problem is when the trend does finally change you will get your ass handed to you, but we're not robots and obviously can make decisions. It's a controversial subject, of course, just wanted to share my full of shit opinion
