Why you should always wait for the candle to close before you take an entry ?

The above scenario applies to every trading TF you take.

NZD/USD update, trade still looks good and i'm hovering around 100 pips profit. I moved my SL to break even and closed out half of my position to bank some profits. I cannot monitor my trades during my work day as much as i'd like to .

Does anyone know if there is a way to set up a notification system (via text/email) for when a pair hits a certain price? I find that it would be especially useful for using DOTS. I've missed a couple good trades because I was waiting for a pair to hit a certain price before taking the trade, but I can't sit and monitor price in the middle of the night lol.

Thanks.

I've got a demo on PLUS500 where I set up all my alerts, usually at RN. You can opt for SMS on your mobile and e-mail alerts, free of charge. As side-service I got some spam from their "account managers" but no bugging phone calls. It's pretty useful to me. good broker for these free alerts service , otherwise horror spreads etc.
Best regards, Zef

Hi there,

It is recommended that you read all of Big E's posts, there is a nice pdf of them in the paperclip. Read all Snarly Jack posts beginning around Oct, 2014. He is took over the thread (of sorts) when Big E passed on. The recommended indicators are in post 50,214. There are many excellent traders and educators here, willing to help you, like Emmanuel7788, Mr AussieFx, Lastingwell, Omonisha, Phx62, Erebus, TScorps... well the list just keeps going.

I am fairly new myself although am having significant success rates.

Others will likely recommend. This should get you started though. It is good you are starting from scratch. You don't have any bad trading habits to unlearn. Good luck and green pips to you!

Excited for you too! I started trading in 2007 but never really made the kind of progress in learning, understanding and consistent green pips until I joined this thread actively, which was only a few short months ago. Take the time to learn and demo trade until you really understand the way the pairs you like move.

Everyone is really great and will help you. Even if it seems like alot to cover, you do have time. Your future is very bright. Just keep your eyes and ears open to the learning here.

Hi, when you trade on H4 TF, will you close if H1/30M TF TDI hook/ cross /APB close into PAC ... or other opposite signal? but H4 still seems original trend.
If I am trading on H1, should I only open the MT4 before every clock to avoid small TF wave?
Wish you many pips.
