and a large portion of whatever UK basket to measure inflation is oil prices.... be it CPI, RPI, RPIX whatever.... they all have a large component in oil prices...

Big sharks fkd the technical indicators. I can't see anything left in monthly TF but still down.

Yes, very true. But if Draghi came out and said inflation is expected to be at 0%.... Of course it's a different situation where he's actually saying he will do whatever it takes to plunge the euro. I don't know, I just don't buy into the GBP not making new lows and going lower. It'll get hammered down soon enough. For now it seems the best of xxx USD

I seriously would not even consider longing this till signs say otherwise.. even for shorts, we have not many pullbacks for re-entries even .. just down down down..
anyone wanting to long- seriously look at higher TF charts..

I guess one things for sure- we will all know when it reverses.. it will be so obvious.

Looking at sentiment on IG markets.... (I know this doesn't always work out and can go to serious extremes) , but shorts have increased heavily on EU in recent days to 61%...... I'd imagine we're close to a low before multi hundred pip rally, which doesn't say much after tanking from 1.4 to 1.07 almost in a straight line.
Edit: wow now 1.06.... absurd. Going to parity a lot sooner than expected.

There is "no tomorrow " for this pair and euro economy. But hats off to speculators !

I think the thing to remember here is that while it may seem that it could reverse at some point, if by looking at previous charts you are predicting a reversal there has to be a catalyst for it to do so. Just because in the past there might have been certain shifts at certain times doesn't mean it will just happen.\
With market conditions as such there is no reason for it to appreciate. Follow what the big banks are doing!

On Yesterday session the EURUSD plunged breaking below 1.07 for the first time in 8 years on the beginning of bond buying program in the Euro Zone. The prospect is to continue selling the EURUSD eying two key levels 1.05 and 1.04.

I just went long, seems like enough bulls have been put in the grave and although this is the strongest trend around so these technicals are nearly irrelevant, it is so oversold it almost has to snap back bounce , probably a stupid play that I'll regret, If I'm right though, should get a nice bounce and will reverse short at the right time.

because UK's inflation is slightly higher than EUROPE.... but if Carney says UK inflation is headed for 0% and measures are to be taken.... expect GBPUSD to go nuts tanking all the way to 1.2 is a possibility....
