The EUR/USD today completed the downtrend as expected yesterday, where it opened a 1.0835 and rose two points in the first trading period and then resumed his way down to 1.0693, so the next target will be 1.0000 .

Why is the S&P falling of a cliff, erasing all gains for the year, one answer and one answer only, a strong dollar, the dollar is hurting every US multinational, EU exporters are enjoying this, but that one will come home to roost, a weak euro means an imbalance in the global trade, that imbalance will need to be rectified, all those buyers of european goods that are now 20% cheaper will offset the yield trade.

Today was the start of QE here in Europe and it was a failure by all measures with eurostox dropping, the FTSE getting hammered and the lower yield curves in Germany dropping below the deposit rate excluding them from the program.

There have been signals from all the big boys, MS, CAT, Boeing, IBM, Apple, all complaining about a strong dollar, today we are seeing the result of that globally, don't get married to your shorts, I still DON'T see parity, that will mean another 15% drop in equities Stateside and a huge dent in earnings, QE here in Europe should have added 1% a year to GDP, it isn't, the ECB can't buy the short end anymore and there isn't enough issue on the long end and let's not even start talking about Japan, it is getting hammered by the strong dollar.

The FED is not even tightening yet, they are still expanding and equities took a nose dive, yield trade if they are stupid enough to raise in July, which they won't, will hurt earnings and equities even more.

We are seeing the downside of QE happening in real time right now, the party is over and all that is left is some idiots straggling around drunk looking for the exit.


Don't go blindly selling eu, keep a very very close eye on what is happening stateside, money talks, it always does and it is starting to complain.
