Good morning traders,
Regarding all the tools that are being made available here, namely the tools from Hotpotato (HP correct me if I'm saying something silly), are for the intention of "feeding" Seller9's BT EA. However, and as said many, many times: "There is no Holy Grail!".
These tools are for helping traders select their initial trading pairs based on the techniques of other traders (like Kopra), but can also be used for each trader's own techniques... and should never be used without further analysis.
The Kopratasa ea that Hotpotato presented us with is an excellent initial selection tool and can probably be used in more than a dozen ways... depending on each traders method of selection. But I think that it should be looked upon as a helping tool and not as the "answer". After each trader selects the pairs, he/she should do a SnR, news, etc... analysis, and can start by putting the selected pairs through Hotpotato's BDM ea, which is an fantastic initial screening/filtering tool.
You can also start with the BDM ea with a Core/Crosses analysis, since the visual graphical split with the auto-channels helps get a quick initial picture of each main currency pair and it's crosses.
And don't forget that Seller9's Basket Writer is also a GREAT source for our initial pair selection.
You can use the Magic 8 Ball, the pair strength "meter" (on the left), the crosses column with it's color coded analysis, the trend chart (on the right), etc... it's definitively the Ultimate tool available for free - no doubt about that (THANKYOU SELLER)
But after selecting the pairs that you want to make up your basket (using whatever method), and creating your offline charts, you should/must always do your own fundamental/technical analysis or you will be shooting in the dark... and most probably lose your money (better send it to my account directly )
In my case (and I'm just a small, tinie, tiny trader), I always have one screen on FF's calender to check the news and then I always do my tech analysis.
I usually only trade H1 (sometimes H4) so I always create three offline charts of the same basket (H1, H4, D1) to check what is happening on higher timeframes, namely SnR, channels, etc...
So although I don't know exactly what/how Sam does his fundamental/technical analysis, I agree with him 100% that you MUST do your homework "OR ELSE...". You might not win ten's of thousand's, but you'll will certainly lose a LOT LESS and win a lot more!
My two cents worth of knowledge is based on my own initial losses, when I thought I could "play" the trader game. Then I stopped playing the game and started doing business.
So finally (sorry for the long post): USE THESE TOOLS TO HELP, NOT TO DECIDE!
Hope this helps!
$$$ to All!
