Why is it that trading attracts folks that apparently got no schooling? ...and only look at the last page of any book they are interested in,......if they bother to read at all!

Look downwards! You might be a newbie, but that does not excuse lack of attention to details. Trade this way and you will lose!

I had the opportunity to claim a 50+ pips gain, but did not. Went to bed instead. On a Friday. Lesson: Friday is a good day to mind the trade and keep it on a short leash. A new week will be coming and will present other opportunities. Rare is the monstrous move on a Friday.

I have worked a deal with Forex Factory. Come the new week, when you open this thread, the thread will be reversed! The first post, the all important Post #1, will be last. The most recent post will be first in the thread.

Forex Factory agrees with me that this is the best defense against some of those newly arriving newbie and oldbie wanna be traders that cannot seem to find the front door, even though I have plastered signs all around the building!

After a month long technical analysis of this problem we have reached the conclusion that some aspiring traders are unable to understand that what we call "Post #1" is the first post of the thread, and that it does not occur to them to investigate further.

Forex Factory has also suggested we set up a subsidiary thread for "remedial arrivals", where they can go to practice losing their money, so when they go to live trading it won't take them so long to accomplish.

(Just funnin' folks, and venting a little of the frustration that comes from forever having to deal with arrivals with poorly used brains.)

What a shame that such adjustments must be made because some are too lazy to read and learn as we all have done.... You have managed this thread as a learning and trading TEXT BOOK, yet many still want to be hand feed and make the mega pips as produced here and go to the front of the class with little or no effort on their part.... I hope you are just kidding and being facetious to make a point.............

I actually did contact FF about creating something for thread-starters whereby an ad-like post would appear on the top of EVERY page that would allow the
owner of the thread to show instructions such as "Begin with Post #1" in an attempt to eliminate the nonstop posts asking the same question over and over and over again.

What a wonderful idea! Please let me know if Twee sends you an email response to your suggestion to Forex Factory. I have also just sent Twee my "seconding" of your suggestion and linking your post. Let's see what happens. -tah

Hi MisterG.

These trades were based on pullbacks on the 4 hour chart, in the direction of the Dragon, with entry on the M15 chart...very much in line with the Secret of Sonic R pdf here, or the Raghee Horner approach, but without considering pin/engulfing bars. Happy trading.

I'm not sure that changing the order will make much difference, if they cant find it on the first page, they probably wont find it on the last page.
I've worked for years in the sign industry and it is interesting what it takes to inform people. The bottom line is most people are pretty oblivious to what's going on around them and only see what they want to see. If they aren't looking they won't find it. With a thread of nearly 4000 pages you can bet no newbie is going to read all of them, and it is soooo much easier to just ask the same question again and again and again.............

And don't say you are just "practicing", either! Imperfect practice embeds imperfect habits which will result in disastrous live performance. No good comes from trading a demo account in this fashion!

If you are not willing to treat a demo account as real money, you had better stop trading it until you are ready to do so.

since a few days my sonicr ffcalendar indicator is not working anymore. It always shows "Additional News per Settings is not scheduled". Anyone else experiencing this issue? I did not change any settings lately as it worked perfect in the past.

FFCal: "Additional news per settings is not scheduled"

Discussed over last two weeks. Go back and read. The soon coming upgrades for 2015 will have fix, too. Basically, for now, if I remember correctly, you need to delete the .xml file from the folder it is in. The indicator will automatically replace it with whatever new .xml file FF has. It should work. But a beta for 2015 was posted, so go find it, also.

Sonikers, if I am wrong on this, please post correction. tks.

Just had PM regarding Windows 8 user that notes the .xml file that FFCal retrieves seems to be from 2013! Friday, I had a final event that after it occurred displayed 500+ days "since" it occurred. I sent a contact message to FF about this. So, there might be some things going on with FF, too. This is up in the air right now. atstrader is working on it, but does not use Widows 8, so any issue there is problematic.

Currently, my FFCal indy is not retrieving the current new week .xml file at all! It is retrieving the .xml file from last week! And I have sent another FF contact message to Twee about this. Let's just see how this evolves.....

This is not a demo account. It is Real Account. But I am beginning to give the spread o f currency I trade a second taught. I think will go for pairs with spread of 3 which is the minimum by broker offers

Actually the spread almost wiped my account. I am still praying that the trade never go against me.

Delete the .xml file. Оld and new FFCal does not work.

Thanks. I am beginning to see that the spread can contribute to significant loss in a trade. I am still searching for a good and trusted broker that will give me low spread. You can PM me if you have any advice of this.
