However, I think your entry was at FO (Frankfurt Open - 7am UK Time) as oposed to LO (London Open - 8am UK Time).

Very rare , I take a larger TP , its a case , when I expect a new low or high for example .
As I said the priceaction by itself must confirm and the next higher timeframes is a 5% of my decision , not much but a bit .

Original TP was 80, price nearly hit it then pullback. I exit manual after small retrace on M15

I am, so happy that many of you got the hang of trading TMS.

Everyone got EURAUD at LO except me.
I tried, but market did not want to give it to me.

Now my choice is to look at H4.

AUDUSD 26 Feb H1 trade.

As I planned early today, I waited for a H1 buy setup. Both AJ and AU showed valid setups and I picked AU.

Trade update, SL move above entry level and trailing 5pips behind the last candle/price bar low-5pips.
Now need to see the next H1 close and manage trade.

EA H1 + 50 on the break of FO H1 bar, this looks to be a runner into NYO

Also took EJ and closed with BE

in that situation what would happen if you used a market order to ensure you got in? i'm very new and just wondering if i saw a move i really wanted to be in, would it be foolish to do a market order in such a situation... thanks

Hi,

You are right. If I had made a market order, I would have gotten in the market. I was busy looking at AU and AJ during the FO candle. What I did was 15 mins before the FO candle closed, I drop a sell limit for EA, and got busy with my AU trade entry. But when I got back to the EA chart, the LO candle ran away quickly without any retracement. Well, miss trade entry happens often and I got use to that.

Thanks for replying.
I traded for a few years a version of the Cowabunga system uses the MACD, RSI and Stochastics. In 2008, I dropped the MACD and Stochastics and switch to Fozzy RSI which is what the TDI is. Someone introduced me to the 5-Method in the Craig Harris Stochastics thread but was a silent reader. It was in 2011 when I met X-man here in FF. I learned a lot from him the way he trade H1 and H4. Then there was another member 'loveevery1' who started the M15 thread and I was active in there too. But after 3-4 years I am still trading with the TDI.
To get a bit more background on how I trade, please read post# 53,338 and those link in that post.
That will give you a clear idea how I trade with money management and ME/ME. Seeing myfxbook alone will not explain the way I trade.
take your time, and catch up with some reading first.

Emmanuel,

Our Tms systems are the same.
I think your right we should teach the 1 hour, 4 hour,
and daily charts. If someone wants to trade a smaller time
frame I think they should go for it. We're on the same page.

I like. I would add the tdi mtf indicator. It helps to filter out fake outs and and keeps you in sync with the higher tf. Of course you can just switch tf or use more than 1 graph side by side.

If it were not for forex factory & Tms it
could take years to really learn how to trade.
I think this thread will shorten down the learning
curve to about 3 months demo, 1 month simulator,
then go live... (about 4 months instead of years)!
