Hey gatorinla, I respect your input, and it dose make sense to me in the general way.

The only reason I tried to make a comment on this subject was because it is essential to know the differences in trading and gambling if one plans to stick around in this business for a long time. I wasn't saying it particularly to you. I was saying it to the thread.

Las Vegas is about 3 hours driving distance away from where I am currently living. I visit Vegas about 5 times a year to have "fun" for the past 7 years or so. After well beyond 10,000 hours I have had in the FX market in the past couple years, I am pretty confident to say trading and gambling are two different subjects in both theory and practices.

Gambling and Trading are different not because they both need to work around probability to win, but rather the mechanics, limitation, and rules within they.
Sorry, at this point, I'd continue stand my ground till it's proven otherwise.

However, I would withdraw myself from this discussion as I see where you came from. Thanks for the reply, please rest well and ttyl.

You could be right about PMI, but i cant pinpoint it strong enough to give constructive opinion on what number could tell. Lets see my SL is in place 785, RR 1:1, 1:2.

I am at 7882, feel safe. But check my portfolio. Lots of Jpy and Aussie shorts now. Wouldnt like to get some surprise out of HSBC . Looks like this coz I have covered few of those Eur/Gbp, as Gbp seems correcting. So preparing reload, but still, Aud and Jpy will be @ 50% of short portfolio.

How you guys manage to follow so many different pairs every day I don't get. I can barely catch up with EU, a little bit of GU, can't even think when I would follow anything else. Jeez, I am so slow...
Everyone can see the chart, but only a few can actually read it.

Is because I am megaslow. I dont trade intraday, am just floating with lots of micropositions and do slow adjustments of portfolio. Most of stops are pretty far. No stress here

edit: That was a lie actually. Sometimes am pretty stressed.

EU only for me....recently I looked at UCAD out of curiosity.

I think most track the other pairs for correlation and to get a feeling of the market as a whole.

'cept Ken, I think he trades every currency known to man. If Atlantis has had a currency, Ken went short right before they disappeared.

I use own made alert indie that helps massively, it cuts my chart watching time down by 80-90% so i can easily follow 8 pairs. I do secondary job things on computer so this allows me to do two "proffessions" at once. Other than that its not worth time just trading 1 pair, if i trade i want to sqeeze time out of it by getting more trades of, that way...smaller positions, smaller risk for same profits in the end that one would do with just one pair.

Not really - Crude, Gold, CAD and USD are tightly correlated

Then Asia session after NY close active pairs are none other than JPY, AUD, NZD

I feel the same way. A trader and forex teacher who I have learned a lot from. Strongly suggest to watch three or more pairs a day so you have a higher probability of finding good setups granted this was on the 4HR and dailey since setups obviously dont form as fast. Well I was like dying trying to keep up with three pairs.
